liakoura is kind of a stretch - Alexes get screennames that have their nicknames as part of the word and Aleko's shortening is "Ko", although he uses it less than most Alexes. Liakoura is a mountain (torz!) where the muses lived (...he... can draw!).

I'm really, really proud of affodell! See, "affodell" means "daffodill". In Cayra's world, you learn magic from what is basically Flowers Internet. She picks up a lot of magic, and acquires a magical side effect of self-centeredness, which on top of being a Bell means quite a lot of self-centeredness. And the daffodill is a flower which is also called... the narcissus.

well_known was from the screennames suggestion thread as a generic-ish Bell name (Martin doesn't have a ton of distinguishing characteristics). It means he is well-known to himself.

It's a pun on Katie's name, and a naive regendering of a genus of butterflies, even though she won't have proper wings even after she blooms.

I am wondering about arenaria, impetuous_force, slippage, and lusa.

dark_light is not particularly inspired. It's just about moonlight and starlight, loosely themed on the luminosity aesthetic that slightly pervades glowfic.

hello_dolly is going to be cloned. Dolly was a cloned sheep. Hello Dolly is a musical.

Rhea the titaness was worshipped under titles including Meter Megale; the "megale" part means "great".

arenaria is, among other things, the species name for the soft-shell clam. They are easily broken.

impetuous_force is from a poem about Phaeton, after whom the relevant Bell's world is named.

slippage is because Mira is doing a Cinderella plot and there were slippers involved.

lusa is a naive regendering of "lusus", a (botanical) term for a clone.

Canon quote, when Miles is manipulating a dude into not massacring some people: "It reminded him of that definition of his father's. 'A weapon is a device for making your enemy change his mind.' The mind was the first and final battleground, the stuff in between was just noise."
