His screen name is a Quenya quote from one of his more important speeches. A literal translation would be to the world's end, but it has the connotation of acting in defiance of fate.

I say self-insert because Tolkein puts a bunch of his favorite/most plot-important parts of the world-building as being made by Feanor.

Yeah, but then you might as well say Aslan is a C.S. Lewis self-insert. :p I think the Mary Sue terminology is more appropriate here.
