Two suggestions for the British Hogwarts Bell: caduceus (Hermes's staff, symbol of commerce, cleverness, and occasionally bringing the dead back to life) or chanuphis (an ancient Egyptian mythical winged snake).

It is sort of redudant, but at same time charming enough that it is interesting keeping the tradition.

People that had been tricked into reading my threads can ask what my screen names mean no problem.

Personally I will probably keep filling in screennames for completeness / because it amuses me, but it's nice to be able to start new characters without having to first think up a good screenname. (And/or be able to edit said screennames later- hi Vivian.)

None of mine have a good reason, they're all just things I happened to like or the character happened to like or happened to be playing in my head when I put the character together. (Sorry.)
