She could be from a world where the analogues of Finnish and Swedish were pidgined.
Re: Sandbox Discussions
I wouldn’t actually be surprised if somebody could come up with a language that was mutually intelligible with both English and Japanese, at least when combined with a healthy dose of body language and facial expression. Mutual intelligibility does not actually mean it’s easy to understand.

Oh yeah. Brazilian Portuguese and Portugal's Portuguese are the same language and I can barely understand their accent.Mutual intelligibility does not actually mean it’s easy to understand.

What is this about, where is this?DanielH wrote:How much do Evil Sunnyverse magic patterns stick across worlds? I’m guessing Kiri’ll get addicted, but that the natives will quickly enough make the patterns less nasty (though nowhere near as nice as Wellspring).
The WAFFLES will submit to this indignity.

This thread, labeled in Alicorn’s index as “Leo and Aleko (with andaisq)”; it starts with those two characters meeting, finding they are face doubles, and absconding to a Milliways room. Kiri only comes into the story after they are finished with that.

Re: Sandbox Discussions
I don't remember if we actually settled on broader implications of introducing Sunnyverse magic to Quinn.
Re: Sandbox Discussions
You responded to the quoted message by saying Quinn got to have its own set of patterns instead of copying the bad ones.
