3 Sneak won't cut it, the Cultist is Evade (-3) to avoid and your skill provides a reroll not bonus dice.
Edit: Neither is 2 speed enough to get to the Merchant District. The only interesting (read: non-street-area) places you could go after evading the cultist are the Hospital and the Magick Shoppe. Sorry for the confusion.
I should note something that might not be obviously possible: If turn order works out correctly, you can pass an item all the way from one end of Arkham to the other. There is a possible move involving this fact that would let you seal the Woods gate right now, at the cost of several investigators spending their turn in the street and one investigator possibly being Lost in Time and Space due to not having a gate home.

I'll go to the Black Cave to get those two clues, and while I'm there I'll read through my Ancient Tome and my Cabala of Saboth (if either fails, I'll accept it and not spend clues/research).
Okay, before movement - guys, can we talk tactics? We have two elder signs now, and Tamien looks like she'll get 8 clues. What's our battle plan for how to use our resources to do the thing we want? Which gates do we want to seal? Probably the ones that are more common, like the witch house, but who seals what? What do we need, who is in the best position to get it for us?
