your current method only works if they're linking to a different subdomain that you're logged in as, so accidents can still happen. Until there's a better option, you could use a different browser or a private browser tab for clicking links that might be deep in a thread?

If you set your theme to one that is a little different from the default, it's easier to notice when you're logged out.

thanks for the expalanation! It was right after the bit about the shooting geese so i thought it would be something that prevented them from shooting geese or consuming geese (possibly by extincting the geese). acronyms are hard.
