Civ5 Intro Speeches for Glowfic Characters

So, as Thatwasademo and Faceless were talking in IRC about how Civilization V had intro speeches for the various leaders, and were both having difficulty writing one for Golden (Bella).

I tried writing a bit of one, using the Dido and Gandhi pages for inspiration – it's a bit short (I added a bit since posting it in IRC) but I wasn't sure what other filler to add, and it seems to forget the 'Cullen' part of her name but oh well.

Welcome, Empress Regnant Isabella, bringer of change. Your daughter, so swiftly taken from you, broke free from the shackles imposed upon her and called on you for aid. You rebuilt the hidden world, defeated those who dared trespass against you and yours, and started the steady march out of the shadows.

Swan, a name shared with the creature of such majesty – do you have what it takes to succeed, reach out of the depths and reveal yourselves to the public? Can you build a civilization that will stand the test of time?

If you have particular inspiration, why not write one for a character (a favorite or one of your own)?

There's also the Civlization VI style, which is a little shorter (it's basically just the Call To Action from the second paragraph of Civ V's style, but fluffed out a little), but is always preceded by "From the first stirrings of life beneath water... to the great beasts of the Stone Age... to man taking his first upright steps, you have come far. Now begins your greatest quest: from this early cradle of civilization on towards the stars."

That’s a really good one. It would be interesting if that were an actual thing: if you get this leader, then the game automatically ends. Although it would only be a good easter egg in a one-player game.
