I actually figured out how to move pain from left to right in my head, like, the second I read the description, and since then I have tried to do it more or less every time I got hurt IRL, and likely will continue to do so forever, just in case it works this time.

Oh, no wonder that never worked for me; I’d always read it as right to left. I’ll try it the correct way from now on. It seems odd that other people can’t even imagine how that could work, even if the actual process would be different than I imagine.

This has not happened to me yet, but I’m sure a doctor will at some point ask me how much something hurts and I’ll respond “mid-square”.

Yup, at one point my legs were hurting but then I realised it was just a square's worth and kept walking.
I am now very glad I made this thread :D
Oh, and at one point I had a migraine and I thought I was an unwilling channel.
