I plan on changing my vote to someone else tomorrow (real time, not in the game.)
It's important that none of us get lynched on the first day. Probably one or two of us should be on the Aestrix wagon.
However, it's day 1 so there are no voting patterns for the town to study. Is voting together today a terrible idea if we scatter our votes all future days? Whatever block of people votes for Aestrix will have their votes scattered as well.
Should one of us propose an alternate candidate for strategic reasons? I know Shoal was talking about targeting PlainDealingVillain. Or should we wait for a townie to suspect someone who isn't us and have, say, 4 people jump on the bandwagon?

Re: Saving Aestrix
I'm waiting for another plausible bandwagon to come up and then I plan to jump ship. I expect Aestrix will likely defend her usefulness admirably, I will be thoroughly swayed, and end up going after the next most suspicious (infidel) target.
Re: Saving Aestrix
I will certainly try to defend my usefulness admirably!
Re: Saving Aestrix
I don't know if I defended admirably, but I defended. xD

That was awesome! You are brilliant and I'm glad you're in the mafia. I think I'm going to wait for an infidel to unvote you first but I'm definitely unvoting you.

Re: Saving Aestrix
I have not quite been completely "unconvinced" yet but I wrote a bunch of waffling and plan to jump on the next bandwagon to arise. Hopefully that is not suspicious behavior? :P (I am kindof worried because I spoke as addressing everyone else, instead of like I was addressing you. @_@ being mafia is stressful.)

Re: Saving Aestrix
I see that both Tamien and pistachi0n voted for Aestrix right after Kappa did. I think this is the sort of thing we should try to avoid in the future. Not because others will find it suspicious (I highly doubt they will), but because psychologically three people in a row voting for someone seems like a lot. Not sure futurevision, PDV, alphabeta, etc. would have jumped on the bandwagon immediately if that hadn't happen (of course we'll never know).

Re: Saving Aestrix
Ugh, that's a good point. I was worried it would be suspicious if I didn't since I precommitted.
On the other hand, we can use it to our advantage. If one of the infidels starts a bandwagon against one of the other infidels, I'm hopping right on. I won't do it again with mafia though, especially not in the early voting stages.

Re: Saving Aestrix
Well, I'm finally awake, but since I'm set to be invisible on the forum, the people on the main thread don't know that yet. Would it be better for me to pretend to be inactive for a couple more hours while the conversation develops, or for me to make my precommitted vote now and then jump on a new bandwagon some time in the next two days?

Hmm, you should probably say something just to not be a lurker. But it seems like people stopped voting for Aestrix after she made that long post.
