You may have noticed that some journals have thread title themes! Not everyone has one, not all of them are well-defined or consistent, most of them don't apply when I'm posting in communities as opposed to the characters' own journals: but here they are laid out neatly where they exist.
dark_light (as Amariah (Dreamer) as opposed to as Ice): Witch Facts.
she_sells_seashells: prepositional phrases.
cross_and_bow: Sunnydale Board of Tourism.
jovahs_heiress: First, lines from the mass choral response as given in "Archangel"; when I ran out of those, Latin prayer excerpts.
autokinetic: First person phrases.
colorshapes, pina_colada: Descriptions of colorshapes.
arenaria: Place-indicators that aren't, grammatically, prepositional phrases.
beheld_beauty: Possessive phrases, in French.
small_magics: Questions.
bellfounding: I don't know the grammatical terminology for the sort of phrase I use for her, but it's consistent.
incanted: Faux as-though-badly-translated-from-Japanese phrases.
lexicality: Conversational phrases beginning with "so".
thaumobabble: [descriptor] [noun].
subtly_artistic: "In which" [whatever].
mute_pen: Past tense transitive verbs.
giftedandtalented: Do: X; Don't: Y.
occluminous: Either "X and Y" or [descriptor] [noun].
roc_on: Haiku.
impetuous_force: Vaguely prophetic fragments beginning with "and".
cumulonimbus: Meteorological phenomena.
charning: Her titles.
deepest_magic: References to times.
hello_dolly AND (later) lusa: X/Y
purposeful_glory: X, by Y
pandion: [three letter interjection], [something the interjection is about].
instar: "the X".
katrea: Plant references.
namesthesky: Reference to property ownership or transfer.
calescent: Blessings.
liakoura: Conversational phrases beginning with "okay but".
make_opportunity: Names of magical workings.
allcomplete: Canon episode titles.
powershines: Canon song lyrics.
middlingalong: Events.
isthisart: Art and music references.
hatchedplan: People's names.
dark_light (as Ice): One-word titles.
shesepankh: Creature species.
point_b: Mythical twins.
bulrushes: Plant references, slightly differently flavored from katrea's.
slippage: Similes.
if_at_first: Remembrances from past lives.

Cool, I wanated a list about this.
Do you have any specific reasons for the less obvious ones? Like giftedandtalented?

Re: Journal Title Themes
No, I don't remember why about that one.
Re: Journal Title Themes
Didn't make the connection between small_magics questions and elves asking none before.
Neat :)
Love the Board of Tourism, like everything else about Sunnydale.

I don't know what I'll do when I run out of lyrics, but it'll take a while. The movie's a musical and I only need a few words per post.
Re: Journal Title Themes
Is there one of these for imeanforever? With a sample size of two, it’s hard to tell.

Re: Journal Title Themes
Not a firm one. Two words, reference to food.
Re: Journal Title Themes
For jovahs_heiress, it looks like you use other Magnificat lyrics as well; it seems to have all of the listed ones except three lines from the male part (“yea, I believe”, “What do I have if not my love for you?”, and “Though everything perish, still there will be my love.”)
I am somewhat surprised you didn’t find uses for those as well. If there is ever a thread featuring both Angela and Sarion, and their assorted Jokers, I would consider that second one whichever account is the original thread author.
Can you please add Silmaril titles to this?

Re: Journal Title Themes
I don't care enough to look that up right now.
Silmaril is a little inconsistent in a couple places, but approximately:
Loki: X of Y.
Boots: school subject
Cam: Thus Spake Carly Rae lyrics (as a riff off his sandbox trees titled after Call Me Maybe lyrics).
Elspeth: Hamilton lyrics, mostly because "overwhelm them with honesty" was irresistible.
Kib: the A Xes, the B Ys
Gem: Fairytale references
Kandrona section regardless of toplevel poster: crimes
Sibyl: imperatives
Miranda: excerpts from the Igbo translation of the UN Declaration of Human Rights
Beka: the last halves of pairwise sayings
Cor: descriptions of the Nothing from Neverending Story
shard section: adjective descriptor noun from place (with a certain cadence)
