Abeance is an alternate spelling of "abeyance" which was taken, and refers to this thing, wrt Jann's slightly awkward and unwanted inheritance-related position.

The screenname “ertia” is clearly abreference to inertia, related to momentun, but why did you get rid of the “in”? I'm guessing there's another reference there I'm missing.

"Inertia" and "inertial" were taken, and then I looked it up in wiktionary and liked it better without the prefix anyway.

That is an… interesting… etymology. I guess it would make sense that the word was related to “inert”.

Did you mention that before? I had the information stored in my skull but not how I got it.

Also, Ertia sounds like an world name, possible for an setting like Reviere or Treasury.

It's a play on "keeper" - the thing she is to Aldaras because he's a tracker and she's his favorite person - and the general Bellish tendency to be occupied with things.

The next time my brain makes me do the thing, I will probably add in references in icon keywords under the screenname entries of people whose icon keywords contain references.
