I'm still concerned that Alphabeta has hinted that he knows of a serial killer and isn't giving more details.

The mafia and Chelsea have competing goals. Even if DanielH is Chelsea, Alphabeta's behavior is still consistent with a mafioso who has the Addy powers. 6 townspeople have died so far. If DanielH is Chelsea, killing him will cause a non-mafia death, followed by whoever the mafia kills tonight.

I can't remember if this was canon, or if it was in the flashes, or if the flashes were canon, but anyway wasn't the real Addy a serial killer? before she was a vampire, even?

The thing about Chelsea and the mafia is that while they have competing goals, we have competing goals with both, too. I'd rather take out one enemy now, before they get the ability to grow and gain in numbers and snatch away our valuable templates (BSS, Alpha, whoever the protector Alpha got his power from is) and then use them against us. Because late game, when the cult's taken over and half of us are swearing loyalty to Chelsea? Going to be a lot harder to beat. Yeah, the mafia's dangerous, yes I want them all to die, but the mafia does not grow in number as we wait. Chelsea and her cult? Does. It is not a 'non-mafia death,' it is 'killing the leader of the cult that wants us to join or die.'

Yes, Addy was at least heavily implied to be a serial killer in Flash 4: Mimicry, and the flashes are canon at least for Luminosity (and I think for Effulgence too). This makes some things complicated, and I think introduces a Downside-related WoG/canon mismatch (where Alicorn said none of the Elspeth-resurrected people had woken Downside, but in story Golden had interacted with a Downside-awake Sasha), but I think is at least the general view.

In other news, I exist. I cut out yesterday because I had real-life stuff to do (there are supposedly only two things certain in life, and only one of them is happening in game). Now that this real-life stuff is mostly over, I shall cryptofairy and give out my private key for my night plans.

As I recall, the canon Addy wasn't a serial murderer until she was transformed into something which finds humans delicious.
