I'd agree with you if we were actually supposed to be RPing (see my edit to my last post). But if this really is how it works it has literally no downsides to anyone except the people immune to Chelsea. There are no hierarchies of win conditions to my knowledge; there's just winning.

Alicorn, to enforce your commandment, maybe it makes sense to declare that people who end the game as allies of Chelsea have lost? I.e. don't actually change people's win conditions--just require them to act as Chelsea's allies, even though that prevents them from winning.

I know right? But I can't separate the effects, and my misgivings about making peoples' win conditions nigh-impossible without taking them out of the game still apply. I mean, you can vote no lynch (or try to get an actual serial killer, those are still a problem) if you really want to go for the Chelsea victory, I suppose.

I am pretty okay with letting Chelsea mind rape me if it means I get a coordination channel of people who are guaranteed to be on my side.

The channel comes after the mind control, actually - it takes a total of two turns of dedicated effort to make someone a "best friend."

Well, the mafia/serial killers/whatever are presumably not able to refrain from killing. And, of course, there's the Bell if there is one.

Alphabeta, I'm not sure you're telling the truth. You were originally very suspicious of DanielH, and then you revealed you had a power that told you he was "proabably innocent" and now you say you know he's Chelsea.

You admitted that you knew all along he was Chelsea and didn't tell us because you were greedy. I'm not going to cast a vote this early in the new day but I don't trust you at all.

Also, yes, DanielH going to sleep is not evidence of his guilt. I have plenty of real evidence, even if I haven't found Elsepth (if there's one in this game) to make it definite from your perspectives. In fact, maybe we should go quiet for 8 hours as a courtesy.

You must play toward your current win condition. In games containing alignment-changing powers, you are to have no sympathy with any future enemy versions of yourself. Fuck those guys.

This is kind of a really hard rule to enforce, and kind of aggravating to play under, but it's also incredibly common, so...

That said, it's generally not good to gamble on alignment changes anyway since usually mafia can't be culted and neither can dead people. It's about as likely that you'll die in the night as be culted, and then you'll wish you had played for the alignment you're now stuck with.

One use of the power adds someone to the list of people who can survive for a Chelsea victory and changes their win condition. The second allows someone to join the private communication channel.

Oh, right, since the Chelsea'd have to play to their current win condition rather than seek a change of them: Shoal is Chelsea'd, so any Griffins or Elspeths should probably get on that.
