Let's see what the various tabs of poetry I have open from research for... something a while ago... have to suggest.
Sigyn:
masterofmyfate, shallfindmeunafraid, ofheroichearts, deedsofdaring,
Fire:
burningbright, forestsofthenight, truthburns,
Rayne and the Kingfisher:
(as pairs)
laughwithme, alldistractions
tothesnows, abovethepines (darklingpines)
Spider:
walkindarkness
Piper:
seenandknown
tillhumanvoiceswakeus
flutesofsilver
There's something itching at the back of my head for the Kolya, but I can't piece it together. Possibly darkglass
(also, I am finding Cape Virginia's screenname (and consquently nickname, when I looked it up) very interesting)

oooooooooooooh. So many suggestions! *piles them up and flops on them happily*
teceler, what poems are you taking all those from? I can guess some of them, I'm not sure about others. And it's handy to know because if I take the relevant screennames I can raid the source for icon keywords. ^^

masterofmyfate and shallfindmeunafraid are from "Invictus" (William Ernest Henley). ofheroichearts and seenandknown are from "Ulysses" (Tennyson). burningbright and forestsofthenight are from "The Tyger" (William Blake). I'm not positive on laughwithme and alldistractions, I think I might actually have pulled them from "The Old Astronomer" (Sarah Williams).
tillhumanvoiceswakeus is from "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" (T. S. Eliot).
deedsofdaring, tothesnows, abovethepines/darklingpines, walkindarkness*, flutesofsilver, and darkglass are all from The Lay of Leithian, which... may be slightly harder to find online, I was using a print version. J.R.R Tolkien. I was using the Recommended version from the Lays of Beleriand.
I'm... not sure about truthburns, I think I may actually have pulled that from Fallen London.
I hope something in there is useful :)
*belatedly, I just noticed that didn't fit your parameters for Steven screennames, sorry

Heh. Nah, it's totally permissible to suggest things that don't strictly fall within the suggested sources of inspiration XD
Ooh, Fallen London. Now there's a source of disturbing yet poetic quotes if ever I heard of one XD

Re: Help me pick screennames! (Contains Effulgence spoilers)
Duly noted.
Yeah, Fallen London is like that. :) I haven't found many that fit well for usernames, but I may keep an eye out.
Relatedly, the bit of poetry I have sticking around related to the intersection of Kolya and Laybrinth's power is (from the Lay of Leithian again) "...the woven woods of Doriath / none ever thither found the path / unbidden, none the forest eves / dared pass, or stir the listening leaves". Can't work out how to make a username that fits from any of that, though, or even if it is anywhere near what you have in mind, but I'm throwing it out there in case it sparks something.
Are the referenced not-previously-seen Cosel templates the Earth and Lightning that showed up in the thread?

Ooh. I really like that passage!
Yep, Earth and Lightning are exactly those. XD
edit: Trust in the Internet. xDDDDD

Re: Help me pick screennames! (Contains Effulgence spoilers)
There's a lot of really poetic things in there. :)
"to south the wide earth unexplored / to west, the ancient ocean roared / unsailed and shoreless, wide and wild / to east in peaks of blue were piled / in silence folded, mist enfurled / the mountains of the outer world"
--also, yup, that is it. I'm not sure whether to be suprised or amused. The last time I went looking all I found was the other version.
Okay. I'll keep that in mind for name-ideas, too. Is that setting exant anywhere else, or...?

Re: Help me pick screennames! (Contains Effulgence spoilers)
Cosel is largely original; I was inspired in its creation by a series of books where some magical beings not very much like elementals were used and treated in a way broadly similar to the use and treatment of elementals in Cosel, and a piece of art I could probably dig up if I tried that had a guy with wings made of fire. I took one look at it and thought "I want a Joker with wings made of fire" and then drew on the concept from the aforementioned books to fill out the setting a little. XD
Wow, clearly I should read this poem XDDDDDD
edit: The art. Is probably NSFW because dude is not wearing any clothes, but strategic lighting ensures we don't see anything graphic.

Huh, interesting.
If you want to. It is longish, though probably not quite so much without all the footnotes. There are some rather good bits, though.

Lightning could be something like thundercloud or thunderhead (those two names are taken); it fits the 'prickly' personality and his element.
For Fire, bettertoburnout, maybe? (I'd imagine that one's getting more urgent)
