Re: Effulgence Mafia Game Thread
I am voting to lynch michaelblume because I can totally see how busy he is and if he has time to pet me he has time to post his roleclaim.

I'm not making an unobscured roll claim at this time. I strongly suspect I'd die during the night.
That said I agree with Aestrix's arguments and vote we lynch Andaisq
(also could we possibly come up with a better word than "lynch"? It seems, well, problematic)

(*role*, claim, I mean, I'd edit, but thing)

We could just use kill instead?michaelblume wrote:(also could we possibly come up with a better word than "lynch"? It seems, well, problematic)
Re: Effulgence Mafia Game Thread
The word “lynch” is standard game vocabulary, but I’m OK with changing it. And these are much better reasons than my very weak evidence, so I also switch my vote to AndaisQ, and then I will update the crypto.
I’ll mark michaelblume’s hash as SHA-256 unless he says it is another hash algorithm. If I miscounted and there are actually a non-256 number of bits there I will feel shame.

Hmm, think I'll join in with the vote against Andaisq. I've mostly tried to ignore the chaos mongering as a personality trait, but that can at some point turn to ignoring reasonable suspicions, which will only make the game harder as we go on.. And of course there's the fact that no one is suspicious at this point really, and we do have to start somewhere. I may well end up changing my vote if someone rather more suspicious emerges.

Yes, SHA-256 =)
Re: Effulgence Mafia Game Thread
I feel very attacked right now. You are all terribly cruel and none of you are invited to my birthday party.
Re: Effulgence Mafia Game Thread
@AndaisQ If we both die at some point can I at least go to your deathday party?
@kuuskytkolme
Could you please check that your Night 1 information decrypts successfully? I had thought that properly-formatted Base64 always ended in at least one equals sign, and yours does not. I could be wrong, you could have accidentally copied everything except the equals sign and it still decrypts OK, or various other possibilities. I highly doubt that the discrepancy is for suspicious reasons, but thought it better to check now than accidentally discover it later.

Good, a better lead. Change vote: AndaisQ.
I would like to clarify that my distrust of michaelblume was not primarily for inactivity, but for not role claiming and attempting (or seeming to attempt) to appear as though he had made a claim. His current response is satisfactory.
As for the = on the end of base64 strings, that's only usually there (it is a padding character, and omitted by some implementations in some situations, and all implementations in some other situations).
