Thanks!
The fact that you ended up not lynching anyone seems to me like you're trying not to be controversial. Why not just vote no lynch if there's nobody you want to lynch?
I didn't want to vote no lynch because, as has been stated multiple times, it makes sense for the townsfolk to lynch someone on the first night. But it became clear that no lynch was going to prevail, and that my vote wouldn't affect the outcome, so there didn't seem to be a point in voting at all. In retrospect I should have explicitly abstained from voting rather than not posting at all, and I will probably do that in the future should a similar situation arise.
The being in character explanation makes sense. I was going to try to be in character too.
Yeah, I regret a little the turn this game has taken with the crypto and all that, though I'm willing to play along (and other people seem to be having lots of fun with it, more power to them). I think if we start another game of Mafia I'll recommend that we try to play it more as if it was actually being done in person--so more in-character speeches, no crypto or other things that you couldn't do verbally in a real-time game.
One thing that makes me think you might not be the killer is your thing about being suspicious of modrony knowing that the killers know each other because you didn't know that the killers knowing the other killers is a part of mafia. I don't think it's likely that you were pretending ignorance based on how you phrased things. However, if you were agreeing to play mafia at all, I assume you know at least a little bit about it, including that mafia members know each other.
I am a frequent DM, so rules-lawyering and nitpicking text comes naturally to me. Just because it's standard doesn't mean it was what this game was doing (and I still don't think it's been confirmed whether it is or not). Games typically also start with a night in my experience, and that didn't happen here. And people have been said a few times that they think the killers would be able to chat with each other outside of this thread, which seems even less standard to me (when I've played in-person games the killers can look around at night and recognize each other, but they can't say anything out loud and they certainly can't talk during the day).

Anyway, thank you for responding. I take back my vote to lynch pistachi0n, and will remain uncommitted for now.

I vote futurevision because they haven't said anything in 20 pages (4 days) and they've only said one thing out of crypto, and I'm hoping they'll come back and let us get to know them better.

Agreed, why me? My reasons for not voting in any direction are... oddly enough the same as jalapeno_dude's -- a combination of real life stuff (pi day!) combined with the fact that we ended up overwhelmingly on "no lynch" made my vote useless, and I didn't have any reason to vote. I possibly should have said so, but I didn't, and I'm sorry.

I'm still a little sick so I apologize if this message sounds disorganized.

Here's my findings for the night, if any. The key is different from my template key:
Night 1
BNyTDudQZteGdQZwsATfaZYt+1gY8KO40ceML8grHvmSWAMsJjYMA+1lVN2pXBskvbUYL9oo1qjTE3fE+3qwCfU84tq9l6IUuCfHEcbI0L66WK4dDepmg37xuAvyLuLZV2Jt0KxfsbI5FOlX43sysJriQmkdZWGbalZC0DPs
And the details for my role, with the same key:
Role
ebp0iHjE8tXizGjoDiqGcACDxYF4bqUT0ac+iWChHOs/mKhb2mj22LJG623uLKwoEYOoZz0J2xLZO3zTXSsMUvzIA2ORuvo3Ue/7Ej7y3fPBC0rmaHOQDelXq8CawE4fqrGj5OTENycIAQkd0udGVfb6EX37er2r5bmWKnN+HC8=
Anyway, I don't think lynching people for having a life outside the game is sound strategy, because you'd expect townies and killers alike to (not) have lives.

@Pistachi0n, the only situation where doing something so attention grabbing seems smart to me is when you absolutely don't want the current lynch wagon to happen. The current wagon seems to be michaelblume, but to me it doesn't feel like enough to warrant this. So. What are you doing?
pistachi0n wrote:I'm not as suspicious as michaelblume and kuuskytecolme because they weren't very active so I'm assuming they didn't vote because they had real life stuff to do and couldn't dedicate enough time to speculating about mafia strategy.
Actually it's more embarrassing. I thought the day ended an hour later than it did (I suck at time zones) and went to eat breakfast before I was supposed to vote and then the day ended while I was eating. (Also if you find my name hard to spell 63 or kuus is fine.)
I am number 63. I'm also ESL, please don't eat me.

terve kuuskytkolme, can you clarify what the attention grabbing thing that pistachi0n did was? I reread the past few pages but I can't find it and nothing stood out to me on my first read through. I think you're probably a more experienced mafia player than many of the rest of us because you've mentioned playing online before, so you might be noticing something n00bs like me aren't capable of noticing. can you explain?

also i can count to four in your language! maybe the word for five will stick sooner or later.i learned to count to 3 about a decade ago and the word for four didn't stick until recently.

I meant voting without any justification and then just disappearing. She was bound to get several people who ask her why did voted like she did, as she did the first time. One time I can hand wave with being busy, but the second time starts to seem like a pattern.

Kuusty just sounds strange. Kuus (6) or kuuskyt (60) are much better, please.

I'm inclined to believe michaelblume when he says he's got real life stuff - from his history, he's usually got a lot going on. Real life stuff isn't a measure of guilt or innocence.

Now, that I've said that, I'm going to say we should lynch Andaisq. Every time he's shown up he seems to want to cause bloodshed in some fashion, several of his statements seem like he wants to cause chaos and confusion, and something about him makes me suspicious. So, let's see him defend himself.

Tau--I voted to lynch you because you hadn't voted and because, this is embarrassing, I thought I remembered you saying something I found suspicious about "the killers don't need random noise, we should all make some" but when I looked back I saw they could be attributed to Tulip.

Kuus--I agree what you described looked suspicious. My justification is I went to sleep after voting to lynch tau figuring the thread wouldn't pick up again until morning anyway, and I was spacy about jalapeno_dude. I will probably change my vote later today after I have some time to think about it, and at a time when I can be online afterwards if I need to justify it. Because I don't want to attract the wrong kind of attention to myself. I've been suspicious of DanielH mainly because he's a leader that nobody has really questioned, except alphabeta's vote that wasn't acknowledged, but I'm not voting for him quite yet and I don't think I would get away with it if I did.
