Shoal’s guess was also my original guess, but I looked it up when I saw the actual answer here (and would have had no clue if it hadn’t been answered here, once things started not fitting that guess).

In Shoal’s guess I think the “two feet” number is canonically “1 meter”, although I have no clue where that would be in canon and it’s possible it was simply adopted by the wiki for convenience.
