I will go ahead and vote for BlueSkySprite. Count should then stand at 7 to 7.

I am also going to bed soon, so am now on my tablet and won't update the index until I wake up (including modrony's prediction).

BlueSkySprite, the private key you gave has a corresponding public key which is very similar to the one you posted. A casual inspection of just the first and last characters wouldn't have revealed a difference. It also does not match either of the other two public keys you posted. I suspect that you accidentally lost the first private key, but the others may still be correct.

Everybody, make sure you hit the encrypt button, copy the pubkey, and copy the privkey all without ever generating a new keypair in between. Also note that the pubkey textbox is not updated if you insert a specific privkey into the private key box.

@BSS: Will you be useful during the next two day/night cycles or only in the endgame?

Is this countdown correct? I have a hard time with time zones.

I take back my vote, and don't cast it again because I want BSS to have her say, and there's always the possibility of overenthusiastic voting.
I am number 63. I'm also ESL, please don't eat me.

Wow, I have missed a lot. I am registering my frustration at my limited internet (cable guy is coming tomorrow noon, so here's hoping), as well as my intent to post encrypted claims as soon as I can figure out how to do that from my phone.

Okay, I have figured out how to tether my phone to my computer so that I can use this encryption site (at least until my phone runs out of data). Hopefully I have figured out how this encryption stuff works.

I'm getting inept vibes from BSS, not guilty ones. I also now feel it would be folly to continue down the list in order, potentially outing all the people with useful town roles as they try to defend themselves, giving the killers useful information without giving the townspeople useful information, because at this stage any people with investigative skills haven't had a chance to investigate, any people on our side who get actions at night haven't had any chance to use them.

I am changing my vote to Alphabeta because Alphabeta because random noise crypto only helps the people who have something to hide, the killers.

We knew when we picked a random number that it had a 5-10% (depending on my current guess for how many killers there are) of getting a mafia member with the first try, which is better chances than the 0% of no lynch.

I also don't think having a life outside of this forum is indicative of anything, guilt or innocence.

Yeah, I'm with Shoal on getting vibes of not-killerdom from BBS and thus staying with my no-lynch vote, even if it's unlikely to change anything.

Actually, if this is anything like a standard mafia game, the killers don't need random noise, since they'll actually have access to private chat, unlike the rest of us. Random noise lets the non-killers make important statements as they get the info, and reveal them as needed, while not benefiting the killers at all because all it does is make it harder for them to tell who actually has useful info and who's just making random noise.

But if the person making the random noise says that that is what they're doing then we all know that it's just random noise and nothing to pay attention to. Also random noise produced during the daytime can only be random noise because usually new information only happens at night.

That's true for day-one random noise, but not day-two and onward. At that point, it would be very easy for someone to claim they're making random noise while actually posting something of value. While it's true that they get new info at night, there's nothing banning them from disseminating it during the day when they can exploit the safety provided by that scheme. The more people post random noise from day two onward, the safer it'll be to hide important information like that. Personally, I'm not bothering with it on day one, but I probably will take part in it from day two onward, and I encourage everyone else to join in too; I don't see how greater security for our data-gatherers could be anything other than a good thing.
