Basically, I say this investigation is a good idea, but we shouldn’t trust it too much.
Anyway, my ideas for these roles:
- Bell: about what you said, maybe, except that I think Chris is a lot more likely as doctor. Maybe something introspection-related where they can know things about their roles the rest of us don’t? What could there be about a role that most people wouldn’t know, given that the way these games usually work is everybody knows their full role?
- Joker: I find it very odd that I agree that a Joker is unlikely to be a killer. Unless we have a Bat role? But that also seems unlikely. My thoughts on abilities are to ignore Sunnyvampirism if that’s a thing, or maybe something about love. Lovers in this type of game is often a disadvantage, though.
- Sherlock: Investigation of some sort. I highly doubt you’re hilariously wrong there. Maybe resisting Sunnyvampirism or something.
- Tony: I don’t see much use for engineering. Maybe they can create a JARVIS or something, or have a connection to somebody playing that role?
- Libby could be a godfather role, which especially makes sense thematically because she’s Moriarty. But on the other hand, I think godfathers in Mafia are the ones who hide from investigation, which fits Voice better. This seems like it could also be an investigation role, honestly.
- Kingfisher is again a potential investigation role. I doubt all the ones I’m naming as such really are, though. Maybe they have different kinds of investigation: Kingfishers can learn more about the rules than the rest of us, but don’t directly know how they apply to people, maybe.
- Virginia: I have no clue.
- Chainsaw: Chainsaw usually tortures instead of kills. Maybe incapacitating somebody so they can’t act the next day/night?
- Eights: I’m thinking something along the lines of being able to take somebody’s place. A mini-doctor, where instead of actually saving that person, they die in that person’s place and win if that person does.
- Steven (Voice): Hiding. A killer that doesn’t show up as one, potentially. Or a 21st player we don’t even know is playing until an investigator says otherwise.
