I don't know why I am surprised, but the fact that you guys know some much about super-destructive things is really impressive.

I just realized that it wouldn't be all that laserlike, but I don't care enough to correct the why. Just that the burst might actually turn into ALL kinds of exotic particles after all, thus be more explodey and less gamma rayi than I thought:

Because the pions might be ripped apart too and the created quarks can have all kinds of flavor, not just the ones of the "mother quarks" like I for some reason thought.

I hope I remember to reread this when I know more about particle physics. For now, I know just enough that you’re saying there may be top, bottom, charm, and strange quarks, not chocolate, vanilla, or earwax quarks.

Old names for charm and strange. I hadn't heard of them until HPMoR.

I noticed that Charlie was watching a football game in Limbo. Would this have been recorded, broadcast on Earth, broadcast with some Limboite's TV broadcasting equipment, or what?

Is there a reason Adana, when being attacked by the pirate, could not have said to Cam, “Do you accept this amended deal: In addition to making me a hat, you also protect me; in exchange, I'm more likely to be able to uphold my end of the barigin?” (or before that, “How about we add this clause to the deal: you make me a book of your choice, in exchange for permission to read it on the way to the station”)? If deals are mutable, I don't see why either of those shouldn't work.

*twitches uncontrollably* Nope, truth and beauty are alternate names for top and bottom. (Sorry, I was a physics major, I couldn't help myself.)

Charlie's football game was a gift from Cam some concordances ago.

That would probably have worked ("more likely to be able to uphold my end of the bargain" is not really a thing but the book would be fine) but Cam couldn't suggest it and for some reason Adana did not come up with it. I suppose we could retcon something about needing to specify in more detail than she could check given the time she had.

Oops. I should have realized the t and b would correspond. I'll try to remember that.

I'm not sure that would work, given how she specified the hat. And I can see the gag binding preventing Cam from conjuring a book, but there are other entertainment methods. I've been headcanoning it as “she isn't used to daeva bound that tightly”, which Cam did warn against.

There are other parts which make me wonder: were the mechanics fully fleshed out when you began that arc? There are some other things that seem odd. For example, Adana and Cam never agreed on a payment (they didn't even explicitly agree that Cam should be paid), which from my reading of the first post here makes me think that Adana shouldn't owe Cam anything. Similarly, the process of dismissing a daeva seems to be implied to be much quicker than a minute in several places: Cam's description of not going to Limbo is “Yup. In, out, thank you for your fifteen seconds mister or miss fairy.”, the summoner who shot Adana first tried to persuade her to dismiss Cam, etc. Is there anything like this that you decided partway through, or am I just noticing things that aren't there?

Two separate questions that are both worded as "Can Cam make sperm?"

The first question is does his testicles produce them in the usual way that could result in babies if condoms weren't used. The second question is about him instantiating them wherever he wants. I know demons can't create intelligent life but I don't think of sperm as intelligent life.
