It's direct from the author, so we're not getting a better answer until more books come out. And he's got two finished drafts he's editing, plus one more planned in the current series and then I think two more trilogies? So there will be books.

Also he has a fairly detailed idea of what physical/mental/spirtual mean in his world(s). The 'body of Ruin' thing isn't just a metaphor, it's an integral part of his magic meta-system. Which he hasn't explained, and probably won't, except that the Stormlight Archive will be more closely related to it than previous series have been so we'll get some of it by association.

Yeah, I was afraid it was some kind of thaumatobabble that didn't mean anything (or worse, that the author had no idea that it didn't mean anything)

Cosmere is said to be a singular universe with multiple planets... I wanted to know, if another Shard came to Scadrial it should gain metal-magic attributes...?
Sorry for my bad english

Cosmere is a multiverse, not a single universe. The universe that the Stormlight Archive takes place in is known to have at least three planets.

If another Shard came to Scadrial... unclear but unlikely? I don't think Allomancers who visit other universes (Hoid?) cease to have their metal magic, so I don't see why other universes coming to Scadrial would suddenly start to have metal magic.

I remember reading that any magic system can be powered by any Shard if the user knows how to do it. But I don't have a source for that.

Also it turns out it is the same universe. I could've sworn it was a multiverse.

Come to think of it, the author promised that "a deep understanding of" Allomancy and Feruchemy allows space travel two trilogies from now. That just got a lot more interesting.

For the record, the Physical Realm of the Cosmere is a single universe, containing many planets. There are two other Realms, the Cognitive and Spiritual Realm, which could be regarded as alternate planes of existence (the Cognitive Realm has been visited on page in the Stormlight Archive books and can be apparently used to hop between the different planets without having to worry about little things like distance, although how this works has is a RAFO). We don't know anything about the Spiritual Realm, except that according to the author it's not the afterlife proper. though some spirits linger their (Kelsier is known to have lingered for a time, and temporarily held Preservation's power until shit went down at the end of Hero of Ages). The nature of the Cosmere's afterlife is completely unknown, and I suspect it will remain so.

Also, Earth does not exist in the Cosmere universe.
