Nope! He is Knight-Commander Greagoir, better known as That Genocidal Dickhead With The Beard. Canon character.

There’s been talk throughout these forums of various worlds that don’t work like standard (Materia, Elcenia, non-Hellish Daevinity afterlives, etc.). Which ones do, but aren’t Earthlikes and have a lot of magic going around so different types of physics would make sense?

For example, I’m pretty sure Bindings uses fairly ordinary astrophysics; does Thilanushinyel? Canon!Narnia doesn’t, but this hasn’t been covered in Effulgence or any of its sandboxen. The world with the sentient enslaved elementals? It’s not even worth asking about Milliways, probably.

I originally started wondering because, if Chronicle does work like this, the witch who enchanted the rabbit carpet either made a mistake or the disenchantment procedure got distorted: the new moon is out during the day; it would have set at about the time Milo turned back human. However, I’m still interested if any of the other worlds aren’t actually planets.

There may have been an understood secondary condition that when one is meant to go out under a moon of any kind one is meant to do so after sunset, because that is more Traditional.

Yeah, that would be an easy way for the disenchantment procedure to get distorted: “Stand outside on the night of the new moon”, to people who aren’t that interested in astronomy, usually becomes “Stand outside under the new moon”. And if anybody did get confused, and stood outside on the day of the new moon, they’d probably realize they should wait until night. This is especially true if the magic system makes it easier to do “night of the new moon” because Tradition.

I am curious about which worlds have ordinary vs nonordinary astrophysics, though.

Promise/Lord Ruler continues to be very awesome, and maybe an eternal threat will cause them to stop their extremely creepy slavery slap fight long enough to become friends.

I think even "friends" would be seriously pushing it.
