Wow. That... that is an amazing story. On a completely unrelated note, I need a tissue for my eyes...

Seriously, that's a fantastic story. Wonderful characters, totally believable gender-induced anguish (I want to say gender dysphoria but am not actually sure that's the right term there? The description of being misgendered sounds like how I've heard it described by friends but is much more emotionally impactful in your writing, at least), incredible depiction of racism and classism, superb job of taking something we all take for granted and showing how desperately it matters to people without, awesome depiction of polyamory, and the ending made me cry. :-)

OK, I may have been gushing a *little* bit there. I'm stopping now, as much because I'm running a little low on sufficiently complimentary adjectives as anything else. I sincerely loved reading that. Thank you so much for writing and sharing it with us.

EDIT: And now I'm up late again because I started reading an Alicorn story when it was only a *little* late and then couldn't stop.

This was wonderful. Thank you.

Frankly, this is good enough that it's on par with, say, last year's Hugo nominees. If you're at all interested in this sort of thing, I'd strongly suggest submitting it to places and attempting to get it published.

I'm not uninterested in publication but they'd have to allow me to continue having it on my website under Creative Commons. Anybody know places that take stories this long and allow the relevant rights, let me know.
