...I just had the interestingly unpleasant but likely useless idea of A Series Of Unfortunate Events involving Violet as a Bella, Klaus as a Tony, and Sunny as a very small Joker. And Olaf as... a JokerDad, I guess? Maybe an Aro or something.

Likely useless due to family attractors and such, but I was amused by the thought.

So, Tamien, I went back and reread my copy of Bone Doll's Twin. In a night. I needed sleep, dangitall, I blame you for this :P

Also! I feeeeeel like the story would work much better with an Aestrix involved. Because, twins. Aliya as Ariani, Adarin as Tobin, Zevi as Brother? And the Duke as a Veron and the creepy wizard dude as a Nereus?.

It's been a while since I've read them but I think I'd swap who Tony and Bella are because Violet's thing was inventing stuff which seems more Tony than Bell.

True, but I feel like Bella sort of meshes better with Violet's... character role? I do agree that in terms of talent they'd be switched, but Violet seems to sort of metacausally function as a Bell.

Or it could be a Violet Bella, Klaus Adarin, and Sunny Zev. And Olaf would be Nereus, presumably. That would also work.

EDIT: Ooh, or maybe just a spontaneous Sherlock of some kind as Klaus. Which would work a bit better, since Klaus' sort of "KNOW THINGS" idiom is closer to Sherlock's variety of that thing than to Bellas' "think about things until they make sense" abilities.

I have now started reading A Series of Unfortunate Events.

Klaus is definitely not a Tony. Violet might be. But I think these kids are too themselves to template-replace easily. (The situation they're in means that any one of them could be a Joker. XD)

(edit: But if any one of them WAS a Joker, Count Olaf probably wouldn't survive long enough for there to be thirteen books. XD)
