Squee!
Re: Squee!
Maxes seem to participate in all the strange new magic methods… except Elcenia. Why haven't we seen Max in the summoning circle?

Re: Squee!
I dunno, we could try it, but it seems like it would be retreading done deals on both ends.
Re: Squee!
Maxwell might be a good person to notice how incredibly useful/overpowered various Elcenian magic is in comparison to what Earthlings can do. Summoning an object and sending it back to a different location, for example, is massively beneficial to the space program, and lights can cure literally any disease, and there are probably Earthlings who would want to settle other planets in Elcenia, and...
hm. Maybe not Maxwell, actually. He doesn't quite have the "exploit ALL the things" mindset. Maybe a Darren from a muggle-standard Earth?

Re: Squee!
I feel that 1. It would tread new Max ground in that most people he interacts with either don't know what's going on or expect hin to know (not always, but often), 2. It covers new Elcenia ground in that Max would be more likely to try to understand than to fix, and 3. I didn't check which thread I was in carefully enough with my first post on the subject, and this page would do better in sandbox discussion or something.
Also, you can't send things that aren't native Elcenian. I don't remember enough of the book to know if their workaround for that would really help with the space program.

You can't send people that aren't native Elcenian. Things can be whisked any which way.
Re: Squee!
I somehow missed that distinction.

Re: Squee!
They're very very fun to do! Mileses and Marks interacting with other Mileses and/or Marks is pretty damn great.
