Mama Who Bore Me from Spring Awakening is making me think of Visitor!Emma right now. (Yay! I found an Emma one!)
Re: Songs for Characters
You did! I haven't actually seen Spring Awakening (I am falling behind in my Broadway nerdness, it's embarrassing) but hey, Lea Michele <3 Also, songs about naive sheltered teenagers with poor coping mechanisms? Yeeeeeeep.
Re: Songs for Characters
I'm sure that Trouble is a Friend must apply to somejoker, but not necessarily Trouble.

Re: Songs for Characters
Guess who's having songfeels again? I blame thatwasademo.
So when I heard the song "Fight Song" by Rachel Platten, I immediately thought of Jokers. Particularly the first verse and the refrain. I find that associating peppy pop songs with blowing up abusive parents amuses me greatly.
I feel like I may have mentioned this before, but the song "O Unlucky Lady" is a good Jokerbell song (Particularly for Stella/Alice and Brilliance/Aurora), if you ignore how awkwardly monogamous the first couple of lines are.
"February Seven" by the Avett Brothers makes me think of Ice/Cypress and Rain/Katydid, specifically.

Re: Songs for Characters
Pfft, anthusiasm, now this is your fault xD
Black Roses was the original prompt for Erica and shows up in her intro post, though her poor relationship with her parents is rather different than Scarlett's. She also likes Something Bad and Hell on Heels. (She has a thing for country.)
And while I'm on my Pistol Annies kick, let me dedicate Hush Hush to Emma's parents, shall I?
Back to work now, really I swear.

"You Told the Drunks I Knew Karate" is very much Zanna and Leo. Xan and Leo hew more to "Better Than I Am". Belinda has no song.
Re: Songs for Characters
Kappa, how do you feel about Come Together for a Joker?
Re: Songs for Characters
I do this thing. I do this thing a lot. I have playlists for both Eva and Isabella, and Realist was inspired by a series of songs.
That said, let me try to pick out some 'very emblematic' songs from my playlists.
For Isabella-as-she-is-currently (Lioncourt): Munich, by Editors.
For Isabella-as-she-was (Markova): This is the Happiness and Peace of Mind Committee, by Utata-P. (Death/dystopia warning.)
For Isabella-as-a-whole: Control by VNV Nation
Nothing jumps out at me strongly for Eva just yet.
