Re: Unthreaded Bells/worlds discussion
Ooh, Cape discussions! So, are the Alex and Soph going to fill the same role as the Travelers? I noticed Soph was listed as Sundancer.

The Effulgence instance of Cape augments, replaces, etc. several groups active in canon, including templating the Travelers. Soph is Sundancer, Xander is Genesis. Trickster and Echidna and whatshisface are purple and Trickster has a different cape name.

How about Noelle and Trickster?
I am number 63. I'm also ESL, please don't eat me.

Re: Unthreaded Bells/worlds discussion
I mostly liked Worm, but I found one of the arcs tedious and had a lot of other stuff to do, so I dropped it and have failed to pick it up since. Is Transit’s ability that of a canon character? If not, can you give us more detail on accuracy, range, sensing, etc.?
You gave hints, but none of the Cape threads have progressed far enough for me to really identify Lorica’s tinker specialty. Can you give more info on it?
Should we move Cape discussions elsewhere since they’re no longer unthreaded?

Re: Unthreaded Bells/worlds discussion
I thought this was describing her tinker specialty, maybe it was just discussing her armor?
"She does contingencies. If-then setups, independently acting tech that reacts to conditions with programmed responses."

…You’re right; I misread that part as something else. I still don’t quite understand it (is her ability basically IFTTT for the real world? Why can’t that include an “If this switch is flicked, cut power” directive, or at least mechaninical pressure sensors in the form of a keyboard?), but that’ll be answered when it starts threading for real
EDIT: I don’t mean my specific questions above will be answered; I mean I will get a feel for what she does once she starts actually doing it and we actually see the results in more than a small handful of comments.

Re: Unthreaded Bells/worlds discussion
Transit's ability is noncanonical. He teleports an uncontrolled distance usually more than a hundred meters and less than ten miles (but sometimes going outside that range) in a chosen direction to a (reasonably, at that moment) safe and stable-for-standing-on place (this being why he sometimes goes outside the distance range, if there's nowhere safe very close or far in the selected direction) and has a secondary power that gives him a general idea of how far he got and what his surroundings are like. He can go up or down if he is in a building but might wind up on any floor or the roof as appropriate to his direction; he can hack his power to get to more specific places, including from outdoors to in, if he pays careful attention to altitude and angles but by default his directions allow "along the surface of the earth at ground level" as a "direction" and he has to be more on the ball to use exact vectors. He's much more useful at getting away from things than to them because of the random distance. He can bring un-anchored objects and people that are very close to him within a weight limit - he has to be capable of lifting their weight off the ground. He doesn't have to actually pick them up (so he can transport things that would throw out his back, or that are dangerous to touch, or that are too bulky or awkward, or that are "yea much sand out of this beach"), just have the strength to do it, so he weightlifts in his spare time. He can do this very fast and as many times in a row as he wants, but has a hard time getting back into a field of engagement especially if there are Shakers or anybody with area effects working there, since it's not safe or stable for standing on.
Lorica's specialty is contingencies, and she's on the nonbio side of the Manton effect (though she can do the anticlumsy implants well enough). IFTTT is a reasonable summary, although her stuff will tend to invent some of its own "thises" and "thats" if she doesn't keep an eye on it (in her interests, insofar as it can predict them, and nonsapiently, but still).

Are Gem and Sierra still the Bells you're looking forward to most, and if so, why?
Based on just the source material, I'm definitely most excited about Sierra and Lailah.
