Okay. So it's not just a matter of running through all the combinations? ("map of plumbing", "map of wiring", "map of sewage"...) Instead, he actually has to know that the things he's trying to copy exist?

On a different note:
Aestrix, I love your similes! (My favorite so far is "leaping on the distraction like a starving man on delicious eggs and toast".)Aydanci missed this. Like he would be missing his own arm if it dropped off from his torso and went for a walk for twenty years. Except with more trauma. (Look, don't judge his similes, it's early.)

He can try to make things he's not sure if they exist, but he needs more information about them than "is a map of the sewer system under the Seattle Avalon".

Thank you! I have entirely too much fun with them.jalapeno_dude wrote:On a different note:Aestrix, I love your similes! YESSSSSSS!There's a second robbery, this one of a museum. There are several items taken, but the most worrying one is a tapestry that sharply improves one's sensory discernment - including, in a few long-ago but well-documented trials, senses granted by other artifacts - at the cost of muteness.
The potential benefits of combining this with the thimble have been speculated on but dismissed for ethical reasons.
I think I like this villain. As a villain, I mean.
This is going to be great.

I just realised an obvious flaw in the mind reader plan. The dean hasn't been necklaced, the real plan can still be read from his mind.
Fuck, this is not going to end well.

Depends on what exactly the mindreader can read. If it's only surface thoughts and the dean is asleep 20 hours a day, that's probably pretty safe.kuuskytkolme wrote:I just realised an obvious flaw in the mind reader plan. If course, whoever it was who passed that message along probably isn't necklaced either... might be a bit harder to find them, though?

I can't wait until Katydid and Rain discover the Treasury set. Words will be unable to express just how cheating the magic love necklace is.
