For the sake of putting all of my cards on the table, here is a list of all of the magical things standard-Prime (As he is before pealing, or before he enters any sandbox world) has on his person, broken up into spells that are cast permanently on him, magical objects he carries regularly, and things in his house.
Spells on himself:
Translation spell
Improved night vision, can switch to extreme magic sunglasses by preference. (Note: enough to withstand super-bright settings of his magic lights)
A 'your bookshelf opens for you' spell
Several 'Your books do not burst into flames when opened' spells
Magical Objects:
Staff - Flight, magic-seeing (Only with Kystle-type), comes when called by him
Pocketwatch - Flight, comes when called by him
Clothing - armored and resistant to certain changes in temperature and is resistant to electricity
Several vials of sleepytime drugs in case of emergency
Shimmery bauble, - magic-seeing (Only with Kystle-type), comes when called by him
Book of cheat-sheets - does not open for people that are not him, and bursts into flames when tampered with
Things part of or regularly in his house:
Magic front door that only opens when provided magical glass keys
Bookshelf with glass covering that is locked to all but him, gives an illusionary bright text when tampered with, and then explodes if broken or forcibly opened.
Books that come when called (by him) and similarly burst into flames when opened by people that are also not him
Safe-deposit box that is super protected against harmful things and only opens for him, will alert him if opened but will (gasp!) surprisingly not explode.
Lights that automatically turn on when someone's nearby, and if Prime casts a very specific spell, brighten to blinding proportions instantly.
Windows that are resistant to breaking, and only show things one way (Inside to outside)
Because I am not five hundred years old, I haven't been able to think of everything that Prime probably would, so if you have super-paranoid suggestions that make sense, please feel free to make them for my resident grumpy, sarcastic old man! :D
Prime's crazy preparation
Re: Prime's crazy preparation
Alarms that go on whenever anything other than air enters the house by means other than the door, or when door/windows/wall/floor/roof gets damaged.
A brooch that contains a single-use teleport spell. Activates whenever he loses conciousness without meaning to.
A spot in the wilderness, rigged to blow up really hard, with a small safe spot in the middle for teleporting into.
Permanent shield against very loud noises.(Notifies him of volumes that exceed the treshold)
Collision detection: Whenever he is injured or when an object approaches him that would hurt him a telekinetic force is applied either to him or to the approaching object(depending on which has the smallest mass) to prevent the collision. Triggers more easily for bladed objects. Toggleable but defaults to 'on'.
Intelligence protection: If he spends two days without speaking a word most Kystleans wouldn't know his sister get's alerted, a battery of dispellers hits him, and common antitoxins get automatically injected.
Falling detection (toggleable) triggers a feather-fall like effect when not supported or flying but having kinetic energy in excess of the treshold..
Toggleables. (off: show nothing , idle: Show extremes , on: show everything(distracts from normal vision))
Electricity-sight, heat-vision, life-diagnostic vision, microbic-life vision, dimensional-distortion sight, editability sight.
Lie-detection if it is possible.
Some basic spell-notes 'tattooed' on him for when he gets separated from his notes. Only visible my magic detection.

Re: Prime's crazy preparation
A fail safe mechanism buried deep somewhere that will send a message to Fossil if Prime gets away from it too, possible with coordinates to his last know location? Its location has a set of protections similar to the bookfshelf.
Some kind of spell/artifact that can forcible drain mana away (which sounds like a good thing to have anyway)
