Are non-summoner demons categorically evil? More commonly evil than summoner ones are? Only rarely evil but they have really bad publicity?

Re: Daevinity Worldbuilding Info
Naturally occurring daeva don't have species-related likelihoods of being evil, per se. Demons are more likely to act that way because a) people are scared of them, therefore treating them unkindly and making it tempting for certain personalities to fuck with them, b) they want fewer things and therefore the middling-nice ones are less motivated to accept summons and try to find gains from trade with humans, c) the culture of Hell is less collectivist (there are cities and events and stuff, but you can always fuck off by yourself without sacrificing much; angels have a harder time doing that, significantly because their magic requires more skill to use for normal things and it's hard to see from a long way off if a random direction you might tunnel through the cloud in leads to an inhabited or uninhabited area; fairies have to extract resources they want from the world or from summons in a fairly conventional fashion and will not be that much comfier trying to live in the wilderness than a human will).

Does this means that Faeries are ironically more like humans than the other three?Alicorn wrote:Naturally occurring daeva don't have species-related likelihoods of being evil, per se. Are there Daeva that are directly employed in the mortal world or everything is handled as the summoners doing? Is there any law against a properly bound Daeva being allowed to simply live in on Earth?

I don't see how it's ironic, but fairies do have a more humanlike constraint on their social behavior than angels or demons do.
While daeva can de facto live in the mortal world, they are de jure under their summoner's custody and legal responsibility.

Re: Daevinity Worldbuilding Info
Fairies are often portrayed as being alien and psychologically inhuman, angels or demons aren't often portrayed as such, and while all three have human-under-weird-conditions psyche, it is ironic that the Faires fall closer to human behavior/culture.Alicorn wrote:I don't see how it's ironic, but fairies do have a more humanlike constraint on their social behavior than angels or demons do.
Huh, are Daeva considered people and could, separatedly from their summoner, being legally held responsible?Alicorn wrote:While daeva can de facto live in the mortal world, they are de jure under their summoner's custody and legal responsibility.

Daeva are not legal individuals. People vary in how much they buy into daeva personhood, but regardless the daeva aren't subject to legal consequences on their own.

Re: Daevinity Worldbuilding Info
Sometimes it is nighttime and sometimes it is daytime. There are clouds, and (white) light filters down from above them, but it's air all the way up, no single sun. Limbo is similar but tends not to have clouds.

Is there at least a certain regularity? For that matter, there is... climates?Alicorn wrote:Sometimes it is nighttime and sometimes it is daytime.

Suggestion: have Cat Max become a fairy just so he can freak out over that.
