Aestrix Ramblings and Q & A
Re: Aestrix Q & A
In his five hundred plus years, Prime has dated like two people. I kinda doubt he'll be dating anyone for a while yet. Buuuut, I may be wrong.

Yeah, but those people are Kystlenians, that society is not suited for Adarin dating.Anya wrote:In his five hundred plus years, Prime has dated like two people. I kinda doubt he'll be dating anyone for a while yet. Buuuut, I may be wrong.

Re: Aestrix Q & A
Xiara is an original character that I created in Kystle with the premise of 'what do you do with a person who is intrinsically good, but with a specialization considered bad' and rolled with it. I've toyed with necromancers of her type before, I had proto-Xiara and slightly-less-proto Xiara and then, at last, Xiara. Her purpose story-wise isn't as obvious as, say, Adarin, but believe it or not she is important in that she's the only reason New Kystle manages to keep track of most of Kystle's history. In Kystle proper (where she grew up and spent most of her adult life) it was considered very bad to talk to ghosts; to the point where it was taught in schools that ghosts are not people and that if you treat them as such you are weird and crazy. This was followed by a list of all of the people that did evil things after talking to ghosts. She's more interesting when she's like eight, though, having some moral dilemmas over the nature of evil, and whether she is a terrible person because she talks to dead people or not. As a several hundred year old adult she's far more stable - she's made her choices long ago, she agrees with the ones she made, and now she will go on doing those things.
Seraphina is from an RP. She and my RP buddy's character got into an arranged marriage and he was indignant about this and she was shy and nervous about it but apparently going along with it. So her new hubby was chomping at the bit to go on a one man crusade against her parents, who were obviously responsible for this travesty of an arranged marriage like his were, while she was frantically trying to make sure he was happy and calm and not at all going on a crusade. Bonding occurs, because she is the adorable and sweet ill girl and he is the kind hearted nobleman who is not going to do anything to his cute, fragile wife. And then it is revealed that not only are Seraphina's parents not responsible for the arranged marriage, they were completely against it the entire time. *Seraphina* was the one to arrange it, because she was sick of being coddled and treated like a pathetic child (ironically, something her husband had started to do, too) and wanted out of that house by any means necessary. She didn't realize that her new hubby would get forced to by his parents, and thought up until their wedding night that it was fine, and by then they were married and it was too late. They talk about this, grow as people and realize things about each other they never knew, fall in love through shenanigans, and then the demon invasion happens and they turn out to be a battle couple. And then, because obviously I can't have my RP buddy's character in here - her hubby died in the invasion and she is very sad about this.
Neither of them are side/secondary characters in their own stories, but in Incandescence they're not quite suited to take the center stage. Since neither are particularly suited towards causing a plague of utopias.
Adarins specifically don't like dating alts of themselves, Prime included. Knowing what he knows now he would be able to identify any alt of himself before he becomes willing to try dating them, and would not date them.

Re: Aestrix Q & A
Both Xiara and Seraphina looked like Chekov Guns, after Corva (Corva? The Lynn from New Kystle) showed up, it looked like she took over Xiara role of talk-with-ghost-Adarin.
Seraphina, isn't there one in Hex? Anyway, whatever role she had it isn't that obvious to me, she works as a completely minor character that only exists to give "color" to the story. How is she doing by the way? How them both are doing?

Xiara wasn't there to talk with ghost-Adarin because Cypress and Ice have still neglected to tell her about the multiverse. If she'd have known, or if Cypress had stayed dead for a long enough period of time that Xiara had managed to find his ghost, she would have taken over talking with him.
Their purpose in the story as Chekov Guns or not is something I'm afraid I can't elaborate on <3
Seraphina is doing pretty well, she asked Ice to resurrect her hubby and they are skipping off into the sunset together. Xiara's still in a national park, waiting for the masquerade to break down so she can go do magic stuff.

I wonder if Ghost babysitting pays well.Aestrix wrote:Xiara wasn't there to talk with ghost-Adarin because Cypress and Ice have still neglected to tell her about the multiverse. Well that is doesn't make not even a bit curious, not a bit, not all.Aestrix wrote:Their purpose in the story as Chekov Guns or not is something I'm afraid I can't elaborate on <3
yay, that is the best direction to skip off \o/Aestrix wrote:Seraphina is doing pretty well, she asked Ice to resurrect her hubby and they are skipping off into the sunset together.
Life as a not-important character in a Belled universe sure is good.
How long until she gets impatient?Aestrix wrote:Xiara's still in a national park, waiting for the masquerade to break down so she can go do magic stuff.

It is barely enough time.
What did Sera's husband got for a Daemon? Will they eventually move to Alienrobot planet?

Re: Aestrix Q & A
I genuinely have no idea what he got for a daemon, the entire reason why I killed him off is because he's not my character, and I am hilariously bad at predicting and figuring out characters that are not mine xD
They might move to the alien-robot planet, but they have yet to be informed of its existence.

How would "Darren" (Standard, average human, Earth Adarin) would react to "Alice" (Joker from Earth living in Forks?)
