I have procrastinated doing this for too long due to lack of time
Maybe we could create some sort of worldbuilding-or-writing group with people from here? I don’t think we should use Alicorn’s board space, but rather we can exchange relevant contact information? (I prefer sharing this via PM)
I like worldbuilding as a hobby to channel my creativity. Lately I’ve been considering actually trying to use it for writing, but I suffer from severe worldbuilding disease and a general lack of focus (not to mention the bad English :p)

Re: Worldbuilding-or-Writing group
I like worldbuilding and creating systems in general, but am bad at coming up with characters or plots, so I do not write stories. I also like to ask people questions about their settings/characters/plots and help them develop them.
Re: Worldbuilding-or-Writing group
I might be interested? I don't do characters much and I'm not great at prose but I do get attacked by the occasional plotbunny that I wouldn't mind sharing - in fact I just had one for the channeled deities 'verse a bit ago. ^^

Are you sure you don't want to do worldbuilding on this forum? Alicorn, can people do worldbuilding on your forum? Because I'm not sure I could keep up with a thing like this if it was a loosely associated group connected by email/IM, but if people making threads here about their worldbuilding became A Thing, I would be terribly excited.

I also might be interested! I am extremely bad at even working on characters and plot but I get extremely enthusiastic about worldbuilding! I also am okay at editing for spelling and grammar (but not flow) if that would be helpful!
maybe it would be easier to keep up with if it were all attached to a single website? maybe a Google drive or something similar?

Re: Worldbuilding-or-Writing group
I'd be interested if it ended up happening on this forum, but don't particularly want yet another place I need to keep track of, so probably wouldn't do it if it were somewhere else.

I'm happy for people to do worldbuilding on my forum! If there's enough activity about it I might make a subforum for it.

Hmm, maybe I should post my notes on Gruesome Magical Girls here. Who wants to see my notes on Gruesome Magical Girls?

Re: Worldbuilding-or-Writing group
I am not opposed to using a forum, my idea was using google drive to host the *official* worldbuilding material + some other system for communication. To me, using both forum and some IM system would be the best because I like some fast/quick feedback too.Kappa wrote:>.>

I can't say I am excited to open another place too (except that I would like a change of username)I'd be interested if it ended up happening on this forum, but don't particularly want yet another place I need to keep track of, so probably wouldn't do it if it were somewhere else.
I am going to confess that I vaguely concerned that it could get too big, but it is probably a irrational fear (I experienced a forum breaking apart once)I'm happy for people to do worldbuilding on my forum! If there's enough activity about it I might make a subforum for it.

You could probably just go ahead and change it and leave a note in your signature for a while, or something :)Bluelantern wrote:(except that I would like a change of username)
