Evidently, I did not need to define any of those things, you're right XD

Future Paradigmatic Heterosexuals Club sounds like a great name for a band...

Thanks again for answering! These are all very interesting for speculation and things

I guess the only other specific main characters that come to mind immediately with regards to aro-ace-ness are Vladimir, Stefan, Jane and Alec - with regards to the latter two, I'd be interested in finding out if the reason Alec and Jane never mated was because of how young they were when turned, because they were both aro-ace or simply because they never found the right person.

Addy and Allirea were my favourite characters already (Alongside Bella ofc), so thanks for the extra information on them (You did crash my Addy/Elspeth ship into a cliff though! I guess I'll just have to settle for them hopefully being super-friends in the future) :D

I guess I need to get around to reading Effulgence now (THERE'S SO MUCH OF IT ARGH)

There might be an answer to a bunch of people's questions in the tvtropes Luminosity forum page: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?di ... i5gjw1r0mf

There's a lot of lol moments though, since we were speculating as it was being posted.

Glass doesn't melt, indestructible things like wishcoins don't melt. If you have a small object like that in you the flexibility of vampire bodies will fill it in once it's removed; if it's very big you might have a hollow bit.

Vladimir and Stefan are undefined, likely some form of picky-or-ineligible to have not mated for such a long time but I didn't decide what form of picky-or-ineligible. Jane and Alec are young enough to have a very, very limited pool of potential mates who'll match the attraction and personality compatibility specs, but I don't necessarily rule out the existence of someone who matches them well existing; they'd just be very hard to find.

So an artificial eye does not get replaced but artificial lung does?

Assuming the artificial lung is not glass and the eye is, yes.

Plastic will melt, so there would be an empty socket and they'd have to get a glass one. Or, I suppose, an eyepatch.
