In particular, I don't assume that 682 would die if it attacked 053 because 053 is stated to cause death by heart attack/seizure, and 682 has survived things like all its bodily fluids being transmuted into Irish cream and all its flesh being digested by a mysterious meat mass; I'm not sure the concept of a fatal heart attack is even applicable. And 053's mental effect didn't work on 682 either. And the 689 test proved that Mysterious Death Effects don't necessarily kill it.

From the description on the page it seemed that 682 might have been killed by 2599 if 682 hadn't ordered 2599 to kill it. I can't believe they didn't follow up on that, like off the top of my head they could order 2599 to not perceive commands from 682 and several other people then send it in with the same orders as last time. Wait, or even easier give the same command as last time but with the addition it has to be carried out from far enough way she isn't able to hear 682. Or command her to sever all communicative abilities of 682 and several other people and then send her in with the same orders as the first time. There are so many way to work around the initial failure, yet they've attempted none of them. Are they even trying? Gah, even beyond this specific case the lack of creativity they've displayed with her abilities makes me want to cry.

682 is Plot Armor personified. It can't be killed (for out-of-universe reasons) to the point where if it gets successfully removed by a reality warper people would cry foul.
And Callahan always wins, also for metacausal reasons.

And that's why I want Glass to narrate the fight.

I'm disinclined to give the out-of-universe concerns of the SCP project strong metacausal weight in my derivations thereof.

The 272 record is also an argument in favor of precog, though it might also just be really extensive in universe knowledge or a very good sensory power. I had been specifically thinking of that one and 053, though I hadn't remembered 2599, which seems to rule out any extensive but mundane body of knowledge as the more subtle power.

Really, in the SCP-verse with all of its concept hax a pure regenerator with a merely physical defense wouldn't be nearly the legend that 682 is. If it isn't precog, it's definitely something more than just the regen and adaptability.

EDIT: 738 is also ... rather troubling.

The SCP verse is full of unsettling things. I'm particularly fond of 988.

I would expect 682 not to attack 272 in the first place if it had precog. The 272 record reads pretty straightforwardly as 682 recognizing 272 by sight.

2599 sounds almost more like a coincidence than anything else.

I went and dug up a list of SCPs I sent a friend of mine when they asked "which SCPs should I read", in case anyone wanted suggestions on which SCPs to read (there are a lot, so it can be hard to figure out where to start).

Some SCP entries I enjoyed, in no particular order:
SCP-294
SCP-701
SCP-1981
SCP-____-J (-J entries are joke entries)
SCP-914
SCP-426
SCP-231
SCP-348
SCP-871
SCP-453
SCP-447 (including the experiment log)

Ways to Read SCP Entries:
Top Rated SCP Entries
Random SCP Entry
SCP Entries in numerical order

A few good Tales of SCP (fiction set in the SCPverse that is not SCP entries):
black white black white black white black white black white gray
D-Class Orientation
Ethics Committee Orientation

I should stop reading SCP entries; it keeps distracting me from doing, like, anything else. XD
