I realize the Bells would never do this because it is stupid, but I kind of really want to see a fight between SCP 682 and Callahan as described by Glass.

When Glass described that?
Of course, the POV characters don't need to know the whole list, or even how many there are. So you still get to add SCPs any time you feel like it.
I meant they need to choose the SCPs that are important to the story, because I really doubt the Bells would ignore that SCPs like 682 exist.
Sorry for my bad english

Eh, it wouldn't be too interesting. Callahan "wins" but SCP-682 escapes.

DeAnno, I don't think you quite get how Callahan works, metacausally speaking.

Now that I've looked up the SCP in question: She would find a way to kill it. Because she's Callahan. Properly actually kill it. It might take her a while, but she would.

I'm inclined to say a perfect conceptual defense beats a perfect conceptual offense, but really that's for the story to decide.

It might be resolved by SCP-682's precognition-like power setting things up in such a way that Callahan would never decide to kill it.

...Are we talking about different entities here? I didn't see any precognition-like powers the first time I looked it up... hmm, but I didn't see the termination records. I'll read those.

Edit: Okay. So as far as I can tell, this thing is basically just a creature with extreme regenerative capabilities that is immune to all the weird shit that's been tested on it so far. That's what led me to say that Callahan would find a way to kill it. Reading the termination records hasn't changed that.

The thing is that Callahan doesn't just have a "perfect conceptual offense"; her entire shtick is, specifically, killing things that can't die. And the aesthetic of the SCP-verse suggests to me that it doesn't deal in such absolute absolutes that 682's unkillableness would rank over Callahan's talent for killing unkillable things. (Killing someone who can torch is causally and metacausally impossible, and it's still Glass's recommendation that everyone avoid provoking Callahan, because she'd be bound to find some way to seriously mess you up that worked within or around that constraint. Callahan is very good at killing unkillable things.) 682 doesn't read to me as having a Downsider level of absolute permanence, because the SCP-verse doesn't read to me as ever going that far; therefore there is some way to make 682 actually dead, and Callahan would find it, because being really fucking difficult to kill puts 682 in the category of things Callahan is best at killing.

DeAnno's theory seems plausible, considering the 053 termination attempt.

I'm not seeing evidence of any precognition-like power there.

Agreed - I get where you could make that leap, if you assume that the 'anyone who attacks 053 dies' bit would apply, but the '053 induces rage' bit doesn't, so I don't see why you'd assume that. (Alternately if you're getting there by way of '053 regenerates, attacking her is pointless' - I don't see why 682 would particularly care about that.)
