Ah, yes, you’re right. I meant more “empty of shapes in $medium”, but there was maybe some chalk drawing in the square unless they were careful to use a rare means of creating the circle.

There can be stuff inside the circle but not other valid circles.

What's the doylist reason for the no-antimatter rule? Can angels make antimatter?

Is there a speed limit for fairies, and if not, does that mean fairies can technically become particle colliders?

Fairies can go up to light speed, I seem to remember.

Fairies have a lightspeed limit. Angels can't do antimatter either. I don't have a principled reason.

Obnoxious summoning other than zoos:

Two summoning circles, one for a demon, one for an angel, in a larger boundary. Binding to restrict them and their effects to the larger space. Audience. No task.

...

(a) that is a hilarious/awful bloodsport

(b) I am totally stealing that and backstorying that at some point someone tried that and ended up getting Lucifer (Jean) and his sister, resulting in a very confused audience as they hugged and burst into tears

This can work even if the “larger boundary” concept cannot. You just need to project the circles in turns, or draw them on a horizontal computer monitor, or something.

I assumed that a binding could specify a sufficiently arbitrary rule, not that there is a natural concept of another circle-or-whatever.

I have a T-shirt that, like most T-shirts, was mass-produced on Earth and has a tag in small print which is impossible to read from a distance.

Would wearing that block a gagged random summons?
