It seems to handle "new today but with replies" poorly. The SQL was (incorrectly) using the first reply created at timestamp to sort, and the actual display was (correctly) using the post created at timestamp. I think i have a fix but we are delving waaaay into the realm of complex postgresql queries so shout out if you see more weird things.

When trying to log in on my phone, I get the message:

“The change you wanted was rejected.

Maybe you tried to change something you didn't have access to.”

I’m pretty sure I have access to my login status. Do you have any idea what's going on?

That sounds like you mysteriously encountered the authenticity error that's been going around that we haven't managed to completely fix. Have you tried again? Did it work?

Trying again right away didn’t help; trying again just now did.

I thought the authenticity error which you knew about and hadn’t caught was that when the browser is restarted, you are logged out even if the Remember Me box was checked on login. I am affected by that reproducibly, but have only seen this once before (I didn’t report it then because it went away on its own, and all I could have said was “I got a weird message”, which is not a helpful bug report).

More details: Opera for Android, Nexus 5X phone, stable wifi connection.

HTML formatting (bold, links, etc.) works in character descriptions but not in template descriptions; template descriptions also can't do line breaks. Could template descriptions have the same functionality as character descriptions? It would be nice to be able to keep (e.g.) a list of facecasts and when I use which, or notes about template attractors, in the description field.

In other news, there have been updates to that Google Doc from a while ago that's hopefully going to contain information we can offer vaguely in the direction of new people so they're less confused and also know how to interact with us or at their whim start glowficcing! The doc is here, as it was before, and still has bits that need filling in if you want to offer spoons to the project.

Updates time! Usual disclaimer: sorry it's been a while, and also, please remember that this is a full changelog, so you may see something repeated that has been posted in passing here before.

Me:
- Fixed up icon deletion from galleries to properly trigger all the callbacks that do things like properly mark the icon as galleryless.
- Login / cookies stuff: you can now login (but not yet logout) across both domains, and the Rails 4 upgrade is working mostly-but-not-always.
- Memory stuff: Paginated the tags page and the continuities page, dropped max page size to 100, used pluck instead of fetch in a few more places, preload icon count on galleries page, bunch of preloading added to the report page
- Daily report stuff: fixed some bugs around unopened / unread / opened display, fixed some sorting bugs, made it use dates instead of pages and added pagination, added unread state, added ability to ignore unread state
- Fixed a bug where deleting an alias would break post/reply history if they used the alias pre-deletion
- You now receive a site message if someone you favorited / continuity you favorited has a new post (*only* top level, this would be way too much spam)
- There is some basic Glowfic info on the home page now; mostly just links, but it means glowfic.com/ no longer redirects to glowfic.com/boards. You can get back here by clicking the Glowfic icon.

Throne:
- Remember Me label is now a proper HTML label
- Found and fixed all the time zone craziness that the report page was pulling
- Added callbacks to gallery deletion to properly update its icons
- Upgraded various gems
- Updated a whole bunch of places to properly clear (icon/character/etc) ids when they are deleted
- We now support HTML in template descriptions
- Fixed an ordering bug in our developer database seed data
