Jalapeno, is your logged-in theme the same greenish one as the logged-out theme? I am getting logged out whenever my browser restarts, and i can see it right away because things are no longer Starry.

Yeah, the themes are the same (I don't really care for Starry). I also seem to be getting logged out when restarting my browser. It's possible it's only happened to me on a restart, provided that restarting my phone counts as such even though Android ostensibly preserves application state when that happens.

Maybe bug report:

I looked at the Daily Report for yesterday on yesterday, before the button glowed. It has not glowed since then, contrary to what I thought the behavior was supposed to be.

Potential reasons this would not be a bug: I looked at it pretty late. Maybe it didn’t change between when I looked at it and official end of day? Or maybe I happened to load the pagr I clicked it from before day rollover, but load the report after day rollover? When is the official end of day for the report, again?

Midnight your time is your end of day for the report. It hasn't been standardized (yet?).

I thought I'd noticed mine glowing more than necessary but only once and quite possibly I was wrong. Not sure.

Follow up bug report: Last night, at some point before the publication of I could show you incredible things, I opened the daily report for the current in-progress day. I had not opened it since then. Today, the report link was not glowing, and when I opened it I saw today’s report.

Because of this behavior, I almost missed that that thread existed. I only noticed because I was specifically checking for weird behavior given my experience yesterday.

…I just refreshed for the first time since midnight and my Daily Report link is also not glowing, so I second your observation. (As far as I've noticed it has been glowing as expected all previous days.)

Current theory is that the server has started using UTC instead of EST, which is causing a weird overlap in times. Maybe an upgrade thing? Looking into it.

It doesn't seem to have affected old times of threads? (I checked "magic elf prince from paradise" knowing that consistently updated between about 18:00 and 08:00 my time.) Recent timestamps also appear to be correct. I'm not sure if this would be affected despite those things not being, somehow?

I will avoid looking at today's report again today (the non-glowing link took me to today’s, as is reasonable since it thought I had read yesterday’s). If you haven’t changed anything by midnight CDT, that should tell us whether it’s just the (UTC-EDT) hours before midnight that cause an issue. I had assumed that if you didn’t figure it out and fix it today, tomorrow it would think I had read today’s, since I opened that on the way to yesterday’s.

Hm, might be just that I use the console, but the "updated at midnight" thing did make me slightly suspicious. Or possibly it has to do with reloading the page close to midnight? Whatever. You now have an account option to dismiss it if you don't care, so maybe this will become less annoying.

Last night and this morning I did not load the page close to midnight, unless “close to” can be several hours away.
