Unless you want to warn for Cor’s magic system I don’t think it needs any which aren’t on other threads, but it definitely needs some.

This person isn't a mage. Cor can tell.
That brief moment when you realize that if things had gone just a bit differently you'd have maged Sauron without realizing it.

...Uh. How do we know that the one that already got maged was the real Thuringwethil.

There was extensive analysis of this puzzle over on the Discord/IRC chat! We concluded eventually that the first one was the real Thuringwethil based on how they acted, and Cor apparently reached the same conclusion.

I was just taking Cor's word for it, but yeah, the first one did seem much more like Thuringwethil (and the second one rather Sauron-ish).

I am still catching up on stuff; has shard (Worm section of Silmaril) pealed, at last before “not a bare stretch”? If not then I will want to read the new thread; if so then I will have to wait.

Makes sense.

When it does peal, I am curious what Library Elf, who knows about the Simurgh and probably has a pretty clear image of “to evil ends will all things turn that they begin well”, will think of the Noldor hearing that line and then immediately going off to well begin a war with Melkor.

“You eight people have been the-equivalent-of exposed to the Simurgh for more than the maximum allowed time and everything you do is compromised.” “Oh in that case I will take this army and set up some kingoms on a new continent, instead of letting this attempted coup take place and having command of the army fall to people who are not of the House of Fëanáro.”

(Off topic: I am annoyed that at the point of the Doom literally not a single person fad called him Fëanor, but the standard version still says “On the House of Fëanor”.)

Edit: This comment was made specifically while I was reading “magic elf prince from paradise”, as opposed to any other thread in shard.

Quenta Silmarillion, Ch. 5 wrote:The Noldor afterwards came back to Middle-earth, and this tale tells mostly of their deeds; therefore the names and kinship of their princes may here be told, in that form which these names later bore in the tongue of the Elves of Beleriand.
Tolkien usually does things deliberately.
