About three times across last night and this morning, I logged in on my gadget (Chrome on Android) with Remember Me checked, read a little bit of glowfic, put the tablet down for a while, picked it up again, reloaded the page, and had to log in again. IDK what's up with that but it might possibly be related to DanielH's thing?

I use Opera for Android. It might happen on browser restart and/or at other times; I am not sure. My browser recently restarted and it just happened, so that’s at least a good hypothesis; another hypothesis I have is that it happens on IP address change.

What happened is that, approximately simultaneously, my wi-fi connection dropped and my browser restarted. Then my connection was re-established and I attempted to refresh the open-threads page. Instead I got a message that I was not logged in.

I always hit the “Remember me” checkbox when I log in.

Update: I just deliberately restarted my browser and tried again, and got the same issue; as far as I know I was not assigned a new IP address since last time, but my signal is spotty (which shouldn’t make a difference if NAT is set up correctly but I don’t know if it is).

Question: would it be okay if I gave a friend of mine Constellation access? We RP together sometimes but she's too socially anxious to join the wider glowfic community (all our threads would probably be private). Unfortunately I have been totally ruined for Dreamwidth after using the Constellation, so I'm having a hard time getting up the motivation to write with her. Does anyone have strong objections?

If this became common we'd be adding sever load without growing the community, but if it actually becomes common enough to be a problem we can, like, ask them to throw Marri money? I have no other complaints.

If it becomes a problem I'm willing to throw Marri money on her behalf.

I am fine with this! I always appreciate contributions but one person is not likely to tip us over in anything. :)

Just now had the problem again of refreshing when I _thought_ I'd clicked on a permalink, but I hadn't so it took me to the bottom of the next page again.

Bug report:

The thread “blue blooded” is currently showing up as having unread posts when I look at https://glowfic.com/users/2, and when I open it in a private tab I see posts which I haven’t seen before while logged in. However, it does not show up in https://glowfic.com/posts/unread (regardless of the value of the started URL parameter).

This state of affairs survives page refresh.

I will try to leave it in that condition, in the hopes that you could investigate, but I have no idea how to reproduce this or how fragile it is, so I might accidentally make it show up correctly in both lists or something.

ETA: Never mind, the actual relevant change is that it was added to Lighthouse, which was hidden from Unread. I feel like “opened” should override “hidden” there, but we’ve had that discussion before and now that I know what’s going on I can wait for better filtering.
