I'm fairly peripheral to the glowfic community (mostly lurk, haven't written anything, haven't met anyone in person), so I'm not sure if I'm the kind of person you're interested in having as a member, but the concept if nothing else is really really interesting and I love the idea of having a planned community of like-minded people to be around and interact with.

I currently am finishing my last year of professional school and California is on my short list of places to look for jobs post-graduation. Cursory look at job sites shows there is pretty high demand for my profession with good starting salaries. I think if I asked a mortgage broker about that today I'd just get laughed at but I will eventually earn money. Student loan burden is not great but much better than average for 8 years of school.

For now I'll probably just keep following the info about it? I might try and do one of my final year rotations in the area if there would be a chance to meet the people involved?

Hey I just saw this comment but we have a Google group and a Discord and a Facebook page in descending order of informativeness and if you want to get info about it you could follow them! Also I totally encourage you trying to do one of your final year rotations in the area; if you spend any significant time in the Bay Area you are very likely to get to meet the people involved!
