Moiety Colour Master List

If it's germane, yet doesn't fit into another category, it can go here.

While colors being usable as identifiers is past, there is still something to be said for, uh, colorfulness.

Like, things can have color themes. And that's added aesthetic value, and can also serve a purpose of aiding recognition even if they're not totally unique (e.g. your friend's car is blue and so all the not-blue cars are not the one you're looking for).

There was once an idea to put moiety colors on individual replies in the Constellation and I thought that was great.

I agree that while the value of these colors may be lessening, increasing the prominence of them may aid recognition – "oh this is T* with the red moiety" at least narrows it down to [Throne? maybe Tricky or Timepoof?], or "J* with the purple moiety?" would narrow down to [Jarnvidr?]. While people probably don't have the list memorized, adding more memorable details probably aid recollection.

Also yes, pretty colors are pretty.

I think I wouldn't want to put moiety colours on the constellation until I could figure out a way to make them look acceptable regardless of their surroundings, and there's been some concern about that iirc.

███ Link: Violet, #7F00FF
██ Kappa: Purple, #8040BF (Indigo, #602080)
██ Anya: Lavender, #C080FF (Silver, #A0A0A0)
███ Wizard of Woah!: Wizardly, #800080
██ Guilty: Palatinate, #682860 (Pine, #01796F)
██ atheistcanuck: Plum, #7D0552 (Redwood, #A45A52)
██ Jarnvidr: Tyrian, #4F012E (Ultramarine, #3F00FF)

Wizard would like #800080 (and suggested 'Wizardly' for the name but I'm not sure he was very confident of that). Does this work? It might be a bit close to Palatinate but on the bright side that's what secondaries are for and also it seems distinguishable if you know you're looking for a difference.
