The Glowfic Constellation
Re: The Glowfic Constellation
I didn’t see jump-to-last-unread on “seen them all” but did on others. Try looking at page 3 of Way Island and see what the continuity page looks like.
Re: The Glowfic Constellation

Still no jump-to-unread.

Definitely seeing jump-to-unread on continuity pages when I'm logged in. Did you get logged out and not notice?
Re: The Glowfic Constellation
That is not the defualt theme and there was bold on the previous screenshot.
Re: The Glowfic Constellation
Yeah, definitely logged in.
However, checking more carefully -- there seems to be jump-to-unread on other continuity pages for me. Just not on Silmaril, which is the one I most often go to by an order of magnitude.
I have no idea what's going on with that.
(Hypothesis: the time-traveling tech support fixed it retroactively, but posting the screenshot of Silmaril meant that became a fixed point in time, so they had to leave that one not working.)

For me Silmaril works correctly, except that you've seen them all does not. I have screenshot I’ll figure out how to post from my tablet if useful.

Re: The Glowfic Constellation
there is no "jump to unread" if the whole thread is unread, a thing you can identify because the thread title is bolded, and it is not bolded if you've read even one post at which point the jump-to-unread thing appears

Re: The Glowfic Constellation
Actually, looks like the same thing is happening for me. On the Silmaril page:

But I see it as unread on the subcontinuity page, https://www.glowfic.com/board_sections/110:

So my guess is it has something to do with untitled subcontinuities.

Re: The Glowfic Constellation
Pedro: yeah, I know about that thing, but I am a couple of pages into several of those Silmaril threads. (This came up because I was behind in Silmaril, and went to the unread threads page and opened up the ones I hadn't read yet, and then was trying to figure out what order I should be going in.)
The "untitled subtinuities cause problems" hypothesis sounds strongly explanatory. In particular it would explain why for other people everything but "you've seen them all" is working; other people are caught up on all the pre-"you've seen them all" threads in the untitled subtinuity, and so the lack of jump-to-unread isn't problematic for them.

Re: The Glowfic Constellation
I mean I'm pretty sure the untitled subcontinuity is just literally titled "untitled", so I don't think it's relevantly different.
I don't know what else would be up with this, though. It seems weird that it works in some places and not others and I haven't investigated it manually to try to work out what the reason is. (I haven't touched the unread code much so it'd be unfamiliar.)
