If adding options is hard there I'm okay with straight post order, too. Options're better, though.

If there are options it should be really clear what each option is; I was just going ??? at the current sorting system.

A behaviour of aliases I have noticed:

1. I post with a character using an alias (say, Kadiran Serani as Kadiran Idain).

2. I post with the same character again afterward, in the same thread. The alias is still set (yay! good!)

3. I switch to a different character (say, Kadiran Ruava, who has no aliases) and post with them.

4. I switch back to the first character. Their alias is no longer set (????)

Is this a bug or a not-fully-implemented-yet or what?

I think it can currently only remember one character's alias per author per thread, so switching characters makes it forget.

Oh. I guess that's a not-fully-implemented-yet. Makes it a little tough to do the thing, but I'll live.

FWIW I tried applying an alias, ran into this, and determined that if it's in place it is Too Annoying To Use. (Character switching is currently the highest friction part of my glowfic experience and alias-application makes it worse.)

As a reader, I wish there was a way to express my appreciation for threads. (There's the so-called “favorites” but that functions more as a bookmark, and there's lots of things I merely want to have read.) It might come in two forms:

1. Something for “this is on my personal edition of Particularly Good Threads”.

2. Something for “whee I am eagerly awaiting the next reply keep it up”.

(Compare recs and kudos on AO3?)

It would be nice if there were a way from a continuity page to see which threads in that continuity you have unread posts in.

(Silmaril is big.)

Do you not see the boldness and the jump-to-last-unread links? They have been there for ages for me.

Edig: althougb that seems buggy; currently you’ve seen them all is on mh Unread page (as it should be) but looks fully read on the continuity page. The other threads seem to work.

Boldness yes, jump-to-last-unread no?
