The Glowfic Constellation
Re: The Glowfic Constellation
How do you mean briefing potential? (There's the Intro to Glowfic thing which is probably going to be incorporated, and there's a suggestion for the "how to use the Constellation" vs "what is glowfic" stuff to be separated, so we could use that.)
[Edit: Oh, but if you mean griefing potential then yes I think it makes sense to look to that. We've got plans for moderation ability… sorta… and I don't think, at least for now, that we'll have much in the way of damage (and we have backups and people currently can't delete other people's replies – since 'delete all after' has been, at least for now, removed… and also we're a small community). If you have suggestions, feel free, but – well, better to be safe than sorry, but I don't know that we need to think about it too much just yet.]
About switching post ownership, that sounds like a good idea! It also sounds like one where we'd have to change quite a bit of logic around and also I don't think we have any post-owner-specific controls at present except for being able to edit the content of the first post (and the new suggested feature), so it's probably not high priority.

Re: The Glowfic Constellation
+1 post owner powers including switching ownership
Re: The Glowfic Constellation
Yes, I meant griefing. I do almost all of my typing on one mobile keyboard or another, at the moment, since I’m in the middle of replacing my dead computer.
Re: The Glowfic Constellation
Not sure if I read things right, but: I feel that the authors list that readers routinely see in lists and such should be exactly the list of who appears in the thread (has posted/replied), and it should not be possible for authors to be hidden from that list (unless all their replies are actually deleted). Access control for posting should be independent.

Re: The Glowfic Constellation
Which sounds easy enough, if that list is merely a "SELECT DISTINCT person-who-posted" and is decoupled from who actually has permission to post
Re: The Glowfic Constellation
(Unrelated to previous) feature request:
Suppose that there is some thread that is in a continuity I want to read. Suppose that the following events occur: the last post is made, I read it, and the thread is marked complete. In that case, I never see the message that it is complete, and never have any hint to check for follow-on threads, whereas I would if I read it after the marking.
Therefore, a proposal: marking a thread complete should cause it to become unread, much like editing the final post does. (After all, the completion pretty much is additional text at the end of the thread. It matters to the reader's interpretation of the text.)
This doesn't address the window, if any, between "marked complete" and "next thread is created", but that's a more complex issue especially around sub-continuities-whatever-those-are-actually-called. I think I already proposed something for that: right now the best view for my reading purposes is the unread-and-opened view, but what I really want is the condition ((unread and opened) or (favorited and unopened)). (Regular Unread doesn't suit because it contains authors/continuities I don't want to read. Favorites doesn't suit because it contains already-read things.)

Yes: the list of people who have authored in a post and the list of people who can author in a post are (should be) different things. When you have authored in a post, you are an author of it for the purposes of what readers see; when you can author in a post, you are an author of it for the purposes of Tags Owed and ability to edit author-editable things and so forth.

What Kappa said
And @Unbitwise since we're eventually just adding filters to all thread lists that's probably already in the TODO list

Re: The Glowfic Constellation
The first bit, about marking a post completed counting as an Unread-worthy change, is not.
Or at least doesn’t have anything to do with filters
