BlueSkySprite: I don't think I saw either of your edits! The Kingfisher from Cosel is a human.

Any notions, anybody?A triad of young!Libby, older!Libby, and Chris journals, paralleling neverbeatme/prima_sequentem/queensidecastle, because I found a new set of PBs for the three of them and I want alternate generic journals. Libby screennames tend to be two-word Latin phrases, so far quoting Cicero but other Latin sources are also acceptable, and may also be drawn from any actual James-Moriarty-related source; Chris journals tend to be chess-related.

I think this quote looks promising:
Non nobis solum nati sumus ortusque nostri partem patria vindicat, partem amici.
We are not born, we do not live for ourselves alone; our country, our friends, have a share in us.
Probably someone who actually knows Latin should check the grammar, but possibly "amici_vindicat"?

Heh. Actually, I have partem_amici picked out for a potential alt-version-journal of Cherry Cordial :D I believe it means something along the lines of "the friends' share".
Other screennames I've thought of for Libbies but haven't used yet:
ad_pacem, Elysse from Alucine - the "for peace" part of "I will not cease to advocate for peace", iirc
ea_memoria, Erzsi from Dragaera - "those memories", iirc
summa_iniuria, thinking about it for this very purpose - the "extreme of injustice" part of "an extreme of law is an extreme of injustice"
causas_rerum, thinking about it for this very purpose - "the causes of things", from a passage about how understanding cause and effect and past and future is what separates humans from animals

I went digging for quotes in the Georgics from a vague sense of association I have yet to actually explain. Possibly the fact that I did once long ago read most of the thing. Some of my favorites so far:
"Nec morti esse locum" - "No room left for death"
"Exerce imperia" - while I'd probably have put it as just "exercise your power" the translation I dug up is listing is as "exert a rigorous sway" which makes me giggle
"In tenui labor, at tenuis non gloria." - Means roughly "though the workers are small, their glory/accomplishments are not" (from the section on bees)

If anybody's read the Vorkosigan books, I need a screenname for a haut-woman malcontent Bell.
Edit: Nevermind, came up with one.

We will probably start her very soon! We are very excited. I am most of the way through the book series but she shows up circa Cetaganda so I don't have to finish before we launch; limiting factor is kappa assembling Miles icons.

I'm eventually-soonish going to need three screennames for a Joker-Sherlock body-sharing pair from that world - one for the two of them combined, one each for their separate selves. For those of you who know what I'm talking about: I'm replacing Mark Pierre and his original split personality with a different person who splits along different stress lines. :D
