Meteor
Universal Characteristics
Carries a notebook with him wherever he goes. In most universes this notebook was a gift from his brother/sister, or some other loved one.
Careful, thoughtful, and a little melancholy
Logically minded, leans on Bayesian thinking maybe a little too much.
Has a hard time with the concept of magic, and does not usually have magical talent even in worlds where it's common.
Enjoys telling stories and exaggerates events to seem more exciting. This occasionally get him into trouble
Attractors
Worlds with a Baluris nearly always have a Meteor, and vice-versa.
Worlds with an important journalism idustry may attract a Meteor
High tech/sci-fi/Cyberpunk worlds are more likely to attract a Meteor
In worlds where Baldash also exists, Meteor is generally on the run from him/her.

Universal Characteristics
[*] playfully sadistic, selfish, and ambitious.
[*] Always a woman, cis or trans.
[*] Likes snakes, crows, and jewels, hen they exist.
[*] villainous in some way or another.
[*] Exhibits psychopathic traits
[*] if there is anyone he is romantically interested in, she will display yandere-type behaviors.
[*] Often the leader of an organized crime syndicate or equivalent
[*] If a world has a magic system, she will find ways to exploit it for profit
Attractors
[*] Worlds where crime is profitable and common are more likely to contain a Baldash
[*] Worlds where
[*] If Baldash also exists, they will have an employer/employee relationship
[*] If Meteor also exits, she will have an antagonistic relationship with him

.Hack: I have them all yet have gone up to first disk in playthrough. I lament my childhood as my adulthood goes down on it. (I'm in. Totally.)
SAO: I've seen the first? With less second-season it's still a good thing probably. I'll bite.

I think there's still too much unrevealed about the setting for me to be comfortable running with it.
I would love to glowfic Howl's Moving Castle. It's always been one of my favorite movies and I also really enjoyed the book. I'd be curious if you wanted to write the canon characters or replace them. I'd enjoy trying to write Howl myself, but I'm not sure how good I'd be at it.
Madoka: I've glowficced this and would enjoy doing it again.
Pokemon: I'd enjoy this. I'd probably want to try writing alts, but would also want an excuse for them to be older than 10.
Inkheart: Could be fun. Do you have any specific ideas?
Night Vale: I want to do this, but it's challenging. We have a good Steve. I could write Carlos. We've yet to find a good Cecil.

Sword Art Online: Abridged should be enough. SAO is horribleterrible and I would love to just redo everything about it and make it good.

Howl's Moving Castle: I think I'd personally prefer to replace the canon characters, but if you want to try your had at Howel, then by all means!
Pokemon: How about some kid of Pokemon sci-fi? Pokemon as wetware androids, trainers as programmers? or somesuch?

ALSO Jarnvidr and I are going to try to do a multi-thread Homestuck thing, so if anyone wants in on that action, they should talk to Jarnvidr.
"Kappa-heavy" wrt Firefly means that me and Maggie did a version of Firefly that replaces all the main characters with a combination of her characters and mine, so it would be nontrivial to change coauthors on it.
And also that some aspects of the worldbuilding are reliant on Kappa, like the planet Shadow being replaced with the planet Evaras, as well as a thing about Reavers that I won't spoil here.

Such is MMORPGs translated into things.
I haven't /watched/ .Hack//SIGN, I have a copy of .Hack//INFECTION for the PS2 sitting in my house. Basically fits the whole good/evil viruses likely. It won't be hard for me to follow along if something is different. Dunno which came first. (I'm now in nostalgia-motivation to boot that up. The stage theme is in my heeeaAAAAD)
Generic/non-generic 'Trapped in an MMO' is cool too. Either way, chat at me.
