Freeform profile section is already on the list, along with similar things for characters (and, later, settings). I've added an issue for user schedules too – seems like it might have privacy concerns, though, so users should probably be able to control it by access list (or I guess mark it visible to all logged-in users / make it public if they want).
I mean, I know quite a lot of this information is available anyway by checking the times people tag at, but especially if it involves more information, it should be possible to guard it appropriately.

This's part of why my suggestion was to use google calendars for it rather than make your own thing; I'm not sure how google's privacy/sharing stuff would work in this context but I know it has some.Throne3d wrote:I've added an issue for user schedules too – seems like it might have privacy concerns, though, so users should probably be able to control it by access list (or I guess mark it visible to all logged-in users / make it public if they want).

To do an access list for Google calendar you need to know the other person's Google account instead of their Constellation account.
There are also potential privacy concerns which aren't public, like "I won't be available for the next week because I'm on vacation".

Re: The Glowfic Constellation
I like the idea a lot
Re: The Glowfic Constellation
Would it be possible to add a url paraneter or something for mobile view even when you detect that I should get the desktop view? I’ve started looking at the constellation on my tablet, and despite the UA being mobile, I get the desktop view. I assume this is because of screen size, and it’s a reasonable default, but the icons-on-the-side view doesn’t work that well with how Oprah for Android does zooming (and no other browser actually had text reflow on zoom last I looked, which is of course worse).
Re: The Glowfic Constellation
I do not presently have anything resembling a "mobile view"; the only thing that's different by UA-or-similar is if you get the cute little page buttons between the <Previous and Next> links on a post or not. Everything else is just screen size CSS :/
Re: The Glowfic Constellation
Then what I want is a way to force the small screen size CSS on a larger screen, which sounds more difficult than if you had a completely different CSS file.
I can do split-screen and give it a a small fraction of the screen area and it goes icons-on-top, but I can't find any other workaround.

Re: The Glowfic Constellation
I'll put a note under the "make a mobile layout of literally any kind" to do xD
Re: The Glowfic Constellation
please no no 'mobile versions'
just tune the screen size rules. or have options/themes/custom CSS for individual users' preferences.
DanielH, what about the layout causes you to want/need to zoom at all?

Re: The Glowfic Constellation
Poor vision and text size variance between different sites so I can’t set a reasonable default.
I don’t agree with a blanket “please no mobile versions”, but many are poorly done and worse than nothing. Not everything; Wikipedia and other MediaWiki-based sites have good mobile layouts, but probably most.
