I nominate "A Challenger Approaches... [Introductions Thread]" for the new thread title, because I feel like it is a good title for an introductions thread.
Re: A Challenger Approaches...
You have a cool name too! And thank you!

Resident Wallflower has made the change, since I like it, and I came up with exactly the same idea while I was at work.Kappa wrote:I nominate "A Challenger Approaches... [Introductions Thread]" for the new thread title, because I feel like it is a good title for an introductions thread.

In addition to a cool name, Armada also has a cool icon.

Eee! Thank you! I made it for an online event some years back and figured, hey, I still have this hanging around.

Welcome! I also think your icon is cool!

Re: A Challenger Approaches... [Introductions Thread]
Hi! This looks like a good place for my first post.
I'm Kaylin, and I'm a long-time Alicorn fan who discovered glowfic a couple months ago by coincidence, through Lintamande. My long-running mental crossover fanfic leaped at the opportunity and promptly developed its own Bells and Finweans. I am trying to restrain that particular impulse, because I'm well aware that Bells are property of Alicorn, but would love to try my hand at glowficcing using some of my own characters. I also write fanfic and original fiction, but don't have much of either to display yet.
Unlike what seems to be many of the authors on this site, my characters are not "alive" and don't talk to me, but I can usually get them to cooperate if I have something to bounce off, as long as I'm in a writing mood in the first place. My major problem seems to be writing interactions between multiple characters, because it means I have to model more than one at once. I'm hoping glowfic will help me get to know my characters by letting me write one at a time and get them to talk to someone else's characters.
