<Jarnvidr> I'm not sure people believe you if you say you're William the Conquerer reborn, but fair
<Ezra> what if you just say you're William the Reborn and you conquer them

Re: Quotables!
"So hypothetically if somebody sailed that wonky route to Valinor and climbed a mountain and yelled 'fuck you all' in a way causally entangled with your lamentations, that would disprove the prophecy?"
Re: Quotables!
Yeah, the strict interpretation was disproved in the very next paragraph with “your houseless spirits shall come then to Mandos”. Either they’re shut out and not even an echo of their lamentations will pass over the mountains, or they’ll go to Mandos, but not both.

Re: Quotables!
I mean, maybe it's sequential. First with the excluded lamentations, then with the coming to Mandos.
Re: Quotables!
The first coming to Mandos was, presumably, when the boats were burned. Not very long a duration of being shut out considering half of them hadn’t even left yet.
If we assume that they were all trapped at the mountains and only got to go to Mandos after the end of the war, then I suppose they would have been shut out and then let back in.

Re: Quotables!
I didn’t even realize how that was a pun and I don't the authors did either, but now I like it.

Re: Quotables!
Mail daemons exist today. A daemon is a computer program running in the background; there are usually many per computer, like antivirus, some network management, and a bunch of other things. A mail daemon is there to handle email.
I don’t know whether this is related to Shoal’s reaction. I feel like it isn’t, but I can’t think what else it would be.
